Just hope you never have a problem!, 13 Nov 2009
I bought this item thinking it was the greatest thing since sliced bread but now I've come to find this unit and Navman are less than useful than sliced bread. Compared to other units I've used this is way to difficult, not in a technical way, but turning it on makes you go through country selection, accept this and that before it loads all the maps of Europe so by the time you've done all this you could be half way to your destination.
You will need to also play around, alot, with the positioning as the glare you get from the screen makes it useless to see when the sun it out which you just don't get on other units, thin and sleek it maybe but useless if you can't see the screen!
And as for Navman themselves, well if you want to buy a map for anywhere else fine but don't expect it work as Navman don't have the maps!!! They will take your money and provide you with a key but as for the maps themselves well Navman just don't have them so watch out if you want maps for the USA! Navman's customer services attitude is one of just can't be bothered well just refund you in a week or so, nice!
So to conclude, if you want a thin SatNav to use in the countries that are supplied and also where the sun never shines then go for this little beauty otherwise go with one of the big boys as they are big for a reason they're better and you get better services from them.
