Well laid out, and with sufficient detail to engage most with an interest in space exploration. I bought it as a gift, and it was very well received.

Good value for anyone wanting a shorter gun slip. No extras, such as external pockets, but it is economically priced and it does the job.

A pair of flip flops, what more can you say? They worked satisfactorily.

The word limit requirement for these comments is ridiculous!

After 15 minutes of playing with this toy, our cockerpoo puppy had torn it. We had to take it away as stuffing was coming out.

English Guns and Rifles
English Guns and Rifles
by J. N. George
Edition: Hardcover

4.0 out of 5 stars A good read for anyone interested in the development of English firearms, 10 May 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This book was published in 1947 and lacks the polish of more modern books on the subjects. However, the author demonstrates a deep knowledge of historic English firearms, which he conveys clearly and illustrates well with drawings and examples. I found the use of historical anecdotes and references particularly helpful in putting the developments described in context.

This is a book written by an enthusiast for enthusiasts, and I would recommend it to shooters and collectors, or to anyone interested in the history of civilian and military firearms through history.

Standard Catalog of Firearms 2012: The Collector's Price & Reference Guide
Standard Catalog of Firearms 2012: The Collector's Price & Reference Guide
by Dan Shideler
Edition: Paperback

3.0 out of 5 stars Useful reference, 10 May 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This is a reference manual, and is useful to those wishing to research or identify firearms and manufacturers. It is organised alphabetically by manufacturer (including those that are now obsolete), and focuses on weapons available in the USA. Most of the firearms covered are usually shown with a photograph, brief description and the 2012 USA price in dollars.

A very large number of historic and modern firearms are covered by this book, but it is not suitable for those looking for technical or performance detail.

The Definitive Guide to Shooting Muzzle-loading Pistols
The Definitive Guide to Shooting Muzzle-loading Pistols
by Derek Fuller
Edition: Hardcover

4.0 out of 5 stars A good read for anyone taking up muzzle-loading pistol, and for those thinking of restoring a gun., 10 May 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I am new to this type of shooting, and this book provided a useful grounding in the basics, as well as insight into the history of muzzle-loading target shooting and examples of restoration projects completed by the author.

The author goes into some detail about competition rules for target shooting in the UK and Europe, before going on to describe the construction and use of a typical target pistol of the 19th Century (the Le Page single shot percussion pistol). Other sections cover cap and ball revolvers, flintlocks and unusual guns, all written in a straightforward manner.

Overall, I found this a helpful and interesting book. It provides sound advice and information for novices, but should be of interest to those who are looking for more technical information on practical restoration techniques.
