5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect waterproof protection for my S6, 24 July 2015

My Galaxy S6 fits easily into this pouch even with a silicone case on, and the Vansky case does it's job perfectly, keeping my phone safe and dry whilst I'm out cycling. I am also able to use the touch screen without removing the phone. In short, does exactly what it should and at a great price.

5.0 out of 5 stars Funky and functional cables, 6 Feb. 2015

Great cables with a robust feel to them. When connecting at either end there is a reassuring firmness to the connection, and transfer speeds are as good as any other lead I've used. Their lovely, tactile feel and funky colours seal the deal for me. Highly recommended.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Product, Great Seller, 15 Aug. 2012

Having had a few issues with an HTC Battery bank I decided to give the Anker Astro a go and I have to say it has performed really well charging my HTC One X, although as I tend to use the phone whilst charging I couldn't accurately say how many charges it will do. However, it's small and portable and is at least the equivalent of one fully charged spare battery even under those circumstances, so I'm really happy to recommend it. Furthermore the price - nearly a third of the cost of the HTC Battery Bank - is irresistible and service from Laptop Mate UK was excellent, making me a delighted customer.

A Significant Other: Riding the Centenary tour de France with Lance Armstrong
A Significant Other: Riding the Centenary tour de France with Lance Armstrong
by Matt Rendell
Edition: Hardcover

5.0 out of 5 stars The Tour de France from a unique perspective, 30 Nov. 2010
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
What sets this excellent book apart from hundreds of others written about the Tour de France is it's unique perspective, being in the main Victor Hugo Pena's account of his ride in support of Lance Armstrong at the 2003 edition of cycling's biggest race. Whilst Matt Rendell also takes the time to ponder different elements of bike racing's place in the world at large, the great draw of this tome (probably not an entirely appropriate word to use as the book reads really quickly and can be difficult to put down) for cycling fans is "hearing" the thought process of the "Domestique" as he gives his all for 3 weeks in pursuit of overall victory for his team leader in this great race. The pain and suffering, laughter and tears are all brilliantly described and bring humble everyday cyclists closer to understanding the true nature and of life in the pro Peloton.

Highly recommended, this account belongs in the "essential purchase" section of cycling books.

Financial Times Guide to Pensions and Wealth in Retirement (The FT Guides)
Financial Times Guide to Pensions and Wealth in Retirement (The FT Guides)
by Mr John Greenwood

5.0 out of 5 stars Clear, independent advice in layman's terms, 26 Nov. 2009
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Having become fed up of receiving conflicting, and often complex, pension advice from people who were always in the end trying to sell me something, I began to search for a more independent source of information. Whilst the nominal link to the Financial Times was reassuring in terms of the relibaility of the content, I did have concerns about how accessible that content might be to somebody like myself with limited knowledge of specialist financial jargon. I need not have worried as Mr Greenwood writes in easily understandable, everyday language, leading the reader through a financial maze with clear and concise explanations.

The book is also well laid out so does not feel like too overbearing a text, and I particularly appreciated the bullet points at the start of each chapter summarising what subjects were being covered in the next few pages. This saved a lot of time for me as I do not need to read the book from cover to cover, but simply wish to dip in and out to read relevant chapters and pages.

If, like me, you are seeking to sort out longer term financial arrangments to maximum effect, and don't have a degree in Economics or a professional financial qualification, then I would not hesitate to recommend this book to you. It doesn't make pensions fun, but it sure does make them easier to understand.
