4.0 out of 5 stars A beautiful album you've probably ignored., 20 Jun 2004
This review is from: Ghost [Us Import] (Audio CD)
Sleeping At Last are a band that have gone ignored by the media despite the fact they are on a major label. Its a shame because it is a beautiful album. Its a melodic rock album with some "emo" in it though to me its just rock music. The songs are simply crafted mini epics with sweeping string arrangements on the fantastic title track "Ghosts" and "Hurry".
It is not a revolutionary album, Sleeping At Last are doing nothing different but its beautiful music for the soul.
Buy it and relax.

3.0 out of 5 stars Decent but average, 25 May 2004
Recently there have been so many "emo" bands crawling out of the woodwork looking to get your hard earned cash. So why buy Anberlin when there are so many other good emo albums?
Its poppy, full of summery melody and catchy fun choruses. The singer has a pretty damn fine voice and the band are solid. But Anberlin do not add anything to the genre that hasn't been heard before.
Saying that, it is a decent fun album that is great for the summer.

5.0 out of 5 stars A truly incredible album, 20 May 2004
The Beautiful Mistake were an average emo band. Their songs were catchy and an enjoyable listen but when it finished I found I had forgotten any of the songs. Light a Match...showed promise but I didn't expect as a incredible follow up as This is Who You Are. The melodies are incredible, the singing beautiful and the songs are just fantastic.
If you are into "emo", post-hardcore or like Thursday or any other band worth a mention buy this album. To me its already a classic.
