5.0 out of 5 stars A really lovely book, 26 Feb 2007
This review is from: Understanding Vision (Hardcover)
This book is really lovely. It is about seeing. I like this book because it is good for propping things up. Roger Watt is a big clever man who knows lots of big words and uses them regularly. The plot of this book is very weak, but it doesn't matter, because it is a book of science. I hope you will buy this book, and that it changes your life in the same way that it has for me.

5.0 out of 5 stars Nice!, 19 Aug 2005
This review is from: Shove The Sun Aside (Audio CD)
This is a mighty fine debut album from Mr Weiner. I guess it would appeal to guitarist first of all, because of the guitar element, but each song is interesting and musical, each note justified. The Steve Vai influence is there, but it's not overly noticable - Dave has managed to find his own sound, with great tone and beautiful phrasing. All of the 6 tracks are great, my personal favourites being 'tourmaline' and the title track 'shove the sun aside'.
This is a great buy for both guitarists and non-guitarists, and I look forward to hearing more from Dave.

5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant!!, 5 May 2005
This album is amazing. Mike Keneally somehow manages to blend his electric guitar with an orchestra and produce some of the most interesting and original music I have heard for ages. I think it definately takes a few listens to fully digest just because so much goes on during each song. If you're looking for a first Mike Keneally album this probably isn't a good place to start because its not the typical MK but once you've bought something like dancing or dog then buy this - you will not be disappointed!

5.0 out of 5 stars great!, 5 May 2005
This review is from: Dog (Audio CD)
This is the first Mike Keneally album that I bought and I love it. His music is really unique, original, strange and most importantly - rockin!! I love every track on this album, from the cheery 'splane' to the wierd 'this tastes like a hotel'. Mike is a super guitarist and his voice is really versatile. I would recommend this album to anyone and everyone!!

5.0 out of 5 stars full of emotion, 25 July 2004
This review is from: The Extremist (Audio CD)
this album is one of satches best and i must say - the two people who gave it 1 star obviously dont have a clue and deserve to be shot. the thing which makes this album so great is the way that somehow satch manages to convey such feeling and emotion through his playing. its not "self indulgent" i mean just because he sometimes plays quite fast doesnt mean the music is any less good. "rubinas blue sky happiness" is a beautiful song and is so uplifting. BUY THIS TODAY!!!! you will love it to bits im sure.

5.0 out of 5 stars great album!!!!!!!!!!!, 28 May 2004
This review is from: Do It Yourself (Audio CD)
i cant believe people dont like this album it is fantastic!! it is fantastic because john squire is a great guitarist, chris helme is a great singer, andy watts (no relation to me!) is a great drummer and stuart fletcher is a great bassist. Every song is different but they are all great. my favourite tracks are probably blinded by the sun, love is the law and hello. i just cant understand why some people dont like it - they are about 100 times better than oasis!!! buy this now its amazing!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars GREAT GAME, 17 May 2004
This game is crazy. it is really realisitc and the AI is fantastic. The game is based on a story - you are a race driver who is fighting to prove himself, and to beat his brother whom he dislikes for some reason. The story can get annoying but all you have to do is press X to skip the scenes. OK the graphics arent the best but that isnt what makes a great game. The cars just feel so real and the races are always so close. Unfortuneataly i am selling my PS2 and i will definately miss this game. If you like racing games the buy this!

5.0 out of 5 stars proper bo, 8 May 2004
this game is amazingly realistic. The handling is just perfect and the engine sound is beautiful. OK the graphics arent quite the same as GP4 but are pretty good nonetheless. This is the sort of game that makes you ask what kind of maniac would race one of these beasts for real - certainly not the same as the modern f1 car! Buy this its fantastic and a bargain at this crazy price!
