1.0 out of 5 stars I love Frank, 26 Feb 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Autumn Leaves (MP3 Download)
I usually love songs sung by Frank Sinatra.
My teacher wanted me to do this song (good chord progression blah, blah). Tried to find a decent version and assumed Frank would have it.
No. This is sentimental crooning.
If that does it for you. Great. Otherwise, Miles Davis and Cannonball Adderley have a beautiful version

2.0 out of 5 stars American!!!!, 2 Nov 2006
This book has some helpful information in it. However, this is ruined by the references to American healthcare ways of doing things. For the book to be more sucesssful in the UK it should have been edited more carefully. Also the list of foods and other substances to avoid is strange at best. It actually advises pregnant women with nut allergies to avoid peanuts!! Priceless.

Queen Charlottes and others in the UK do books that are more tailored to our way of doing things. Oh yes. The EDDs are often calculated differently abroad, so that the weekly summaries can be out of synch.

2.0 out of 5 stars Useful if you are american, 26 July 2006
The author of the book is american - and yes it makes a difference.

An awful lot of her "observations" are about europeans: the history, travel etc. Still more of her "thoughts" are very stylised: all french women come from chateux in the country and have tiny but beautiful apartments overlooking the Champs Elyses.

I thought that two lipsticks was a much better read...
