4.0 out of 5 stars Super zoom and ease of use, 26 Feb 2014

This camera does exactly what it says on the box. It is easy to use, provides an excellent zoom capability, and produces some stunning results. For someone wanting an easy-to-use upgrade in photography, without all of the technical knowledge required by some other models, then this is an ideal choice.

4.0 out of 5 stars The splendour of heraldry, 26 Feb 2014

A wonderful beginner's book on the subject, simply bursting with colour and excitement, as well as being fairly informative. perhaps a bigger book with more detail would have been a bonus and worth whatever added price this might has warranted. However, as a superficial introduction it does well to wet the appetite for more.

3.0 out of 5 stars A good beginners guide, 26 Feb 2014

A very useful reference book for anyone new to the world of heraldry. My only criticism would be that for a book devoted to the colour and splendour of heraldry, it was an extreme disappointment to discover that there are no colour illustrations. Shading is all very well, but not very exciting. I also felt that the book should have been of a larger size (I would willingly have paid more for a bigger book) primarily since the present text is so small that reading becomes quite difficult.

A revised larger issue in colour would undoubtedly be a huge success. please let me know if it ever happens!

4.0 out of 5 stars Heraldry and more..., 26 Feb 2014

This is a very informative book, not only with regards the details of heraldry and, indeed, the quite unique language, but also because of the historical background right up to present-day scope and involvement. There is a tendency to think of heraldry as something of the past, associated with knights in armour and the like, whereas it is, in fact, very much a living thing with a place in the 21st century.

I would have liked to have seen more typical examples and descriptions, but that said, it is a very informative book, and ideal for anyone (like myself) new to the subject.
