2.0 out of 5 stars Not worthy of the Forza name, 16 Dec 2012
= Fun:2.0 out of 5 stars
If you're going to use the Forza brand, you have to live upto the name, and this game simply doesn't. I've owned Forza 2,3 and 4, and got to very high driver levels on FM4 I'm about level 180, and I still haven't done all the single player races. On (Forza) Horizon, I'd won the trophy in about 10 hours of game play, and yet had apparently only completed 60% of the races, using exactly the same difficulty levels I'd use on FM4.

The multiplayer was annoying, as you couldn't kick any cheats from the lobby (the idiots who weren't racing, but playing bumper cars)

The open world racing lacks things like police, to actually make it realistic, something which exist in its rival Need For Speed most wanted, i traded Horizon for NFS after just over a month, despite it being a much anticipated present from my wife. I will never trade Forza 4

4.0 out of 5 stars I traded in forza Horizon for this, 16 Dec 2012

Forza Horizon is simply not worthy of the "Forza" name tag, this game however is everything you expect from an arcade style racer. The open world section is exactly what Horizon should have been like, there are cops, and you can either slow down to avoid being chased, or just take on the Police, I find the best tactic is simply to ram them off the road before they even switch on the Blues n Twos, you'll usually have made an exit before they can even give back up a description of you. The racing is intense, and the AI can play hard, slamming you into walls if you give them an inch, so do it back to them.

It pays to get you upgrades to pro level, and it can often be done very quickly, especially if you go to the airfield and get a big drift going. What really surprised me was, its actually possible to pop your tyres in this game if you do too many doughnuts, which never happens in the "Simulators" like Forza and Gran Turismo
