3.0 out of 5 stars Really could have been better, 3 Jan 2014

This a pretty good compilation and includes some tracks that you will not hear even on some of the American oldies stations. I was especially pleased to see included three tracks from The Bobettes, one of my favourite girls groups. Some acts however are notable by their very absence, Martha Reeves and the Vandella Sisters and The Orlons being two of the more obvious girl groups not represented on this album. I have taken another star off due to the fact that the track 'Buttered Popcorn' is credited to Diana Ross instead of Florence Ballard, another member of the Supremes, who actually sung on the version included on the album.

5.0 out of 5 stars British comedy, but not as we know it!, 13 Oct 2005
This review is from: Bottom - Series 1-3 [DVD] (DVD)
Bottom is probably one of the best comedies the UK has produced and yet is so often overlooked. the comedy is extremely funny and very physical. in which other programme can you see two men smack each other around the head with frying pans, or violently assaulting each other with umbrellas. this is the kind of thing that only Rik and Ade can carry off, and they do it with aplomb.
this is a MUST see! buy it, buy it, buy it! that's an order people!

5.0 out of 5 stars excuse me while i kiss the psy!, 2 July 2004

This review is from: The Joy of Meditating (Audio CD)
this is a great cd that does exactly what it says on the tin. this is only the second meditation cd i have ever listened to and the first i practised on regular basis. the meditations are deeply relaxing and for me brought startling results. redfield's voice is completely relaxing and enchanting despite the rather nice accent and does not put one off.
on only the second meditation (the stream meditation) after two days practise, i experienced the most wonderful feeling like my whole body being filled with light and later looking back at it the sensation of being embraced by a light being of total love. the meditations get easier with each session (indeed when i am doing my daily meditation, with or without the cd's aid, i always use the second, stream meditation) and thanks to this cd i am much calmer and balanced.
a perfect cd for beginners, forget the rest this is the best and has put me on the path to the development of my own latent powers.
hints for beginners: this is thoroughly relaxing cd. firstly make sure you do the meds daily but only one at a time, eg med one for one week, then med two for the second week, etc.). take it slowly or you will become a bliss junkie. secondly if as a result, like me, you think you have come into contact with a form of spirit or energy, DO NOT WIG OUT! this is your latent powers coming to the fore. stay calm, do your research and if poss. contact a spiritualist church/psychic development group in your area.
