Coogan and Brydon may not be everyone's cup of tea on their own....but together thay make a perfect match. Coogan outwardly brash - always looking out for the next piece of 'skirt'. Brydon in the background, knowing he's a married man with a young child. And their approach to reviewing restaurants in the North of england is honest and refreshing. They know value when they get it and are similarly NOT impressed when they don't. It's a pleasant ramble arounde some of the best scenery that England can dish up, mixed with anecdotes and observations of life. A cut above yer average food review and worth the time spent watching the six episodes.

Why pay twice as much, when you can buy these at around £20. Nothing fancy in the style, but comfortable and well fitting. And a regular leg size is exactly that. The right length for most people. I bought these for sailing and general wear around the marina. But they can also hold up as light work-wear. I'll be wanting another pair soon. Definitely recommended.

Marketed as a walking shoe its fair to say that the Hi-Tec Men's Quadra Classic does the job perfectly well. But more for street walking than rough terrain. With such a low price tag it would be unrealistic to imagine that these would be your number 1 choice for hiking over the Penines. But they would be fine for an hours walk along the Thames towpathh. If you want a pair of lightweight shoes for strolls around the city, which also look good as casusal shoes with jeans I can recommend them. But the sole construction is simply too thin for stones and uneven surfaces. ...In short you get what you pay for.

Repetitive almost to the point of boredom...then suddenly something happens and everything is never quite the same. That single episode will probably keep you thinking for 24 hours.........but the rest of the book is quickly forgotton.

2.0 out of 5 stars Lack lustre make-over, 14 Dec 2004
Despite the 'lavish' plaudits of the title this 2 disc comp lacks just about everything for 'good listening' music enjoyment. True enough there's nothing wrong with the titles (mostly)....but the sound. Someone in the A&R dept of virgin have given a new trainee a rush Xmas job to finish...and it shows. Just because a track is 20 years (or more) older doesn't mean they have to sound like they did through 'trannies' of the time. This album may have the right track mix to outwardly appeal, but once in the CD tray it really doesn't lift musical spirits too much more than a few degrees over zero. This christmas cracker is a 'dud' I'm afraid and probably the only thing to do is (like me) return it. Sorry Amazon not your fault...its those Virgin men....again!
