5.0 out of 5 stars An Epic read, 2 Mar 2014
This review is from: Sempre (Kindle Edition)
I loved this book. Others have already gone into detail regarding the ploy so I will just throw out my feelings

It is one of those books where the secrets slowly unwind and it becomes so much more than you think it is going to be. Is It a mafia novel? a tale of slavery? a love story? a story of revenge? survival? Betrayal? It is all of those things and I think in the 500+ pages that it hits just about every emotion. The characters are complex, the story is complex it is a carefully crafted work of art.
Cant wait to read book 2

4.0 out of 5 stars Dark and pervy contains rape/violence BDSM, 2 Mar 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This is a gripping dark read and reminded me in parts of a cross between Conquence/Captive in the Dark/The Sinners series. At first I was not sure about the character of Tess I found her too needy and too annoying. She is kidnapped whilst on holiday in Mexico, with her boyfriend Brax. Her relationship with Brax when they clearly want different things is frustrating. I know it is there to show that she is open to "other types of sex and experimentation' but the boyfriend is such a wimp, how she could have possibly ended up with him apart from her need to be wanted is just bizarre. I did however grow to like her determination later in the novel. I liked the character of Q... who doesn't like a rich millionaire that is emotional broken? His character is flawed he is deffo into some kinky mixed up stuff im not into all the bloody cutting or BDSM stuff but still there is something appealing about him. I love it when he speaks French, and I kinda like the control and mind games

So if Dark, mind games with a whole lot of control is your thing - give this a read

This is one of those books where is difficult to write a review. To give any of it away in a plot summarisation would ruin the book for you. There are so many twists of the story/bits which don't quite add up which as other reviewers have already stated come together at the end. A lot of the book is written in flashback, So you do need to pay attention to all the bits you are reading as at the end your brain starts going over the bits you have read trying to slot them into the jigsaw of who you have just read. I found I was thinking about this book long after I had finished it

What I can say is that is very well written, the characterisation is brilliant, it is emotional, it is raw. it will leave you in parts angry and frustrated but you will be desperate to keep going to find out exactly what is going on.

3.0 out of 5 stars Ok read for the price... needs a edit, 9 Oct 2013

This is not a bad read but it does need a massive edit - there are grammatical and spelling mistakes pretty much all the way through. If you can live with that then the story is pretty much Rich Man-whore lawyer meets nice new in town girl who has been cheated on...and his quest to win her over, change his ways and become good boyfriend material etc.

There is a little twist at the end, which is quite sad and well written, and to be honest it is the best part of the book. There is a promise of a sequel... not sure where that is going to go as there was no cliff hanger ending. All seems a bit unnecessary.

Found in You: 2 (Fixed)
Found in You: 2 (Fixed)
by Laurelin Paige
Edition: Paperback

4.0 out of 5 stars Book 2 in the Fixed trilogy, 9 Oct 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
So this is book 2 is the fixed trilogy - only buy if you have read Fixed on You. This follows on pretty much from the first book with the same angst, mind games etc so if you loved Book 1 then this is more of the same. Having said that there is plenty of recapping at the beginning of the book - probably too much for my liking.

Personally I enjoyed it, very much on the same lines as FSOG / Cross fire series. Again I think there could have been a bit more plot as it is a fairly short read and of course there is the wait for book 3

3.0 out of 5 stars Nice easy read but could have been better, 4 Oct 2013

This is a sweet story about what can happen when love is taken for granted. Married young, a stay at home mum left to look after her young children whilst her husband works away she starts to think about her lost youth and her first crush Noah. When devastated after discovering her husbands infidelity - Mia goes on to rediscover herself and find the one that got away.

This is a nice story but I would have liked to have seen more tension. more angst. and a lot more made of the love triangle. I would have liked to have seen Mia go with Noah to San Diego. I wanted to see her have more fun. She is portrayed at first as a strong character but I think that she gives in to easily. Personally I am team Noah!

The writing style is confusing at times going between various years. Sometimes it worked and Sometimes I think the information gained wasn't particularly relevant. Towards the end we get to see things from Declan's point of view which is interesting but I think it would have been a better read and I would have had more sympathy for him if we had, had his POV earlier in the book. Noah's POV would have been a bonus and would have really spiced up the story

3.0 out of 5 stars 3.5* Not as good as the first two but worth reading for the conclusion, 4 Oct 2013

Feels like I have been waiting for ages for this, the final instalment in the bad boys trilogy. Unfortunately, it for me, it does not live up to the first two books in the series. It is just not as exciting, I miss the humour and I do not like the character of Marissa.. the complete turnaround in her character is not believable and the whole New Orleans balcony scene ... Drunk or not.. how would she not have known??? Nash is dark and brooding and I quite liked him but wasn't sure what he saw in Marissa. I definitely prefer Cash the other twin. and to be honest I think the chemistry and build up working together in the bar between Cash and Olivia was more interesting. This book would have benefitted from having more of them in it.

I would however recommend this to those that have already read the first two books as this is a good read it completes the trilogy and provides long awaited answers

4.0 out of 5 stars Hot, funny, Sassy, 4 Oct 2013
It is refreshing to read an erotic novel that actually has a decent story. I liked the character of Lex - she is smart, sassy and most importantly doesn't put up with any crap... Prince or not

Massimo is the typical Italian stud muffin playboy, spoilt and used to getting his own way. Drawn by Lex's independence, determination and refusal to conform he is intrigued by the challenge. I LOL at the part where he tells her to "come now" and she tells him to "Zip it". I lost count of the amount of books I have read recently where the women come on command.

The story is set in the glamorous locations of New York and Italy. Which are richly detailed in a way that transports you to world of the rich and famous. Think the Devil wears Prada/Sex in the City

The sex scenes are hot and plentiful, some bits a little far fetched ... I mean IS THAT EVEN POSSIBLE???? and yes the language is crude. But lets not forget it is fantasy like the rest of the story most of us don't get to mix with the rich and famous, wear designer clothes, own fashion labels or get run of with a royal prince.

Perfect Escapism for anyone who wants to leave their housework and life for a few hours to read a bit of naughty

4.0 out of 5 stars A nice easy read with great characters, 4 Oct 2013
This review is from: Stinger (Kindle Edition)
I enjoyed this story it is an easy read with a HEA. I liked the characters the strong Alpha male / Sassy intelligent female and the banter and humour between the two lead characters.

Some of the story is completely far fetched for example the 5 year abstinence, the walking out on the film contract etc but I liked the whole Porn star to hero concept. For a bit of escapism this is a great read.

Her Wicked Angel (Her Angel Romance Series Book 6)
Her Wicked Angel (Her Angel Romance Series Book 6)
Price: 2.99

5.0 out of 5 stars Bad boy with wings who cant handle his drink... loved it, 23 Sep 2013
This is book 6 in her Angel series and for me it is the best. I really liked Veiron in Her Demonic Angel but Asmodeus is now my favourite.

He is the bad, dark ,smoldering King of Demons. Created by the Devil from evil to be his right hand man. He lives a solitary existence in hell with his hell dogs where he has never left. He believes himself to be purely evil and his only knowledge of pleasure is that, which he gets from torturing demons.

That is until the Devil sends him to Paris to capture a naughty witch called Liora. And this is when the story and the author's writing comes onto his own. Meeting Liora stirs up unexpected feelings in Asmodeus. Having never been to the mortal world before things start happening to him which begin to show cracks in his evilness and show his vulnerability. His discovery of food is written in a way that made me lol its almost childlike and endearing. In particular his reaction to drinking 1/2 a bottle of vodka was hilarious. As was his telepathic dream with the hell dogs.

I loved the characters of Liora, she is strong and sassy and a perfect match for Asmodeus. I was pleased to see that characters from the other books were a big part of the plot and we also got to see different sides to their characters. For this reason I would recommend to get the best out of this story that the other books in the series are read before this one.
To sum it up this is book to get lost in - it is a romance, but it is humorous with some great dialogue, lots of action scenes (in both meanings of the word) The settings/locations are so richly described that you could almost be on the beach, or in a cafe in Paris.

I would recommend this to anyone who likes JR Ward, Gena Showalter, Lara Adrian. Or anyone who likes dogs cause those Hell dogs are so cute
