5.0 out of 5 stars Yet another Diane Chamberlain book I couldn't put down!, 29 Sept. 2011
This review is from: Reflection (Kindle Edition)
I read this book in 3 days (and I work!!) - another brilliant book by Diane Chamberlain which runs across generations & a story line which get's you hooked from the beginnng. The author brings the characters to life & in particular the town of Reflection. I want Gram's house! It sounds beautiful & in my mind's eye I could feel the views & hear the music. A good plot with twists you couldn't really predict. Need to download another of her books!

5.0 out of 5 stars Gripping Medical Drama, 26 Aug. 2011
This is the first of Ken McClure's books I have read, and as with one of the other reviewers it won't be the last! The main character Steve Dunbar is investigating 2 nurses who have independently whistle blown about 2 children who have died following kidney transplants...what transpires whilst incredible is also very believable. Alongside this investigation one of the nurses & her husband are both terminally ill & this gives a good twist in the tale of who the murder is!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Could not put this book down !, 21 Aug. 2011
This is the fifth novel by Diane Chamberlain I have read & she does not disappoint.

An excellent tale of 3 close friends, one of whom (the midwife) dies early on in the story & the consequences of her actions in her earlier years. You feel for each character as their past lives are unwoven although the book is in the present time. This is not a farfetched novel, the ultimate act of the midwife swapping the baby is understood when explained how it can happen. Realistically written you warm to every character & feel their individual pain. Well worth reading, I really couldn't put it down once started & read it in 2 days.

5.0 out of 5 stars So true of life in a GP Surgery, 3 Aug. 2011
I was drawn to this book to see if it truly reflects life working in a GP Surgery & having worked for a surgery for 14 years I can honestly say it does! The author/GP wrote well of his experiences & battles he faces daily. Same as the GPs I worked for he has a sense of humour (so necessary) & yet empathy & compassion where needed. It was refreshing to read the human reaction of his visit to the obese patient (stomach churning) & being unable to clean up after the patient & needing the district nurse to pick up the peices....a recognised unsung hero of the nhs!
This book should be available in surgery waiting rooms......!

5.0 out of 5 stars Once started I couldn't put it down!, 1 Aug. 2011
Three weeks to go is probably every parents nightmare who have gone through the adoption process. Brilliantly written, the author captures the parents vulnerability & makes you think how far would YOU go to keep the child you adore?. Inspired author's choice to narrate this from the father's prospective rather than the mother's which would have been usual.

I have never read this author before & just hope he/she lives up to this book in his/her other books!!

4.0 out of 5 stars Really good thriller, 1 Aug. 2011
Good, old fashioned thriller in the modern world! Good story line - I didn't suss the killer until a couple of pages before he was revealed & even then I was only close & not quite right!!
