This is Delia at her best, perhaps part of a culmination of her lifes work so far. This has all the winter stuff you expect, such as roasts and casseroles, and then a bit more, such as Smoked Haddock with Spinach in Chive Butter Sauce, Curried parsnip and apple soup, Singapore noodles, Thai curry, and chocolate bread and butter pudding. Apart from being a collection of recipes, the book is also quite a good read in itself, and also has a number of set menu suggestions. Vegetables get some really sumptious attention. This book should be a key foundation in any home chefs library. Easy recipes all tried and tested.
