5.0 out of 5 stars Outstanding, 24 Oct 2013

Just a great read - the main character is well structured and the writing style is very enjoyable. How the character develops and hoe he grows from child to man throughout many trials is very well executed.

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing quality for such a small lense, 10 July 2013
Amazing little lense. quality on the Olymous EPL5 is oustanding. what you get from this lense is as close to a 70-200MM F2.8mm from Canon. The fact it's F2.8MM makes a huge diffence as most others are 2 stops or more slower. Expensive - yes - but for portraits and low light. it's fabulous. It also fits in an admittedly large pocket......

2.0 out of 5 stars Watch is Great but watch strap and HRM strap are poor, 8 July 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Since buying I've used this regularly but have noticed 2 fundamental issues. 1. The HRM straps are poorly designed and after around 6 months or when battery is replaced its hit or miss if they work again - 3 straps in 18 months. The watch strap is also only held by 2 small pins for a sports watch? I replaced 1 pin when it loosened and unfortunately last week on a long ride the strap came of completely - lost watch!

As for the watch - it is great - very good, touch screen useful and display informative. It is also like a normal watch. just put a decent strap on it!

In short Garmin Straps are crap.... sorry....

5.0 out of 5 stars Photography and technology hit the spot!, 18 Nov 2010
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
When I saw the reviews for this, decided to splash out. If you have a 3d TV this is worth getting. I do a great deal of photography and love new technology so this pretty much hits the spot. The quality isnt too bad - It's not in the DSLR category, which you can get for near as makes no difference at the same price. That said this is about the 3d - The screen on the back is very clever and does give an incredible representation of 3d. Once connected to HDMI to you TV (yes HDMI to mini HDMI) which you need to but seperately it does give a good representation and some very good pictures. Not cheap for a camera but for the money as a 3D camera not bad. In short - if you ahve a 3d TV with all the gubbins like SKY etc that you need anyway this is a good addition>

5.0 out of 5 stars Great machine - Quality and ease of use oustanding, 25 Nov 2009
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I know this is an expensive Laptop but the quality, screen and the general feel just beats a PC Laptop down. I had been looking at a top spec XPS 16 and at the last minute I decided on the Apple. I am so glad I did! I have used a MacPro for a couple of years and have to say it boots up as fast as it ever did and has never let me down with Software. The interface for the Macbook pro is excellent.

Positives
- Screen is very crisp and clean - great for watching HD itunes content
- Keyboard lights up wonderfully - May seem an odd benefit but surprising how useful it is and far better done than on similarly price laptops
- Speed of boot-up and general user interface
- At las - A half decent graphics card - not great for full gaming but It plays WOW with all mods on at 40-60FPS
- Build quality - Outsanding
- Slim and relatively light
- Battery life is staggering
- I personally like the trackpad

Negatives
- No Blu-Ray option
- Would like better spec graphics card
- More USB ports
- No HDMI port
- No easy right-click option

Overall - get one - as a final point it will be worth twice as much as a similar PC in 2 years time at least and it will still load up almost as quick unlike a PC that just gets slower and slower month after month.

I didn't think this was overly expensive for this quality and spec. A little more than a Dell but not materially.

Get one - you won't be disappointed

5.0 out of 5 stars Smoke me a Kipper - these are the Dogs, 28 Jun 2004
This review is from: Red Dwarf: Series 4 [DVD] (DVD)
Pure class - Probably the best comedy series the BBC ever produced - I love Fools and Horses and Vicar of Dibley but red Dwarf has that extra level of one-liners and qoutes that are just un-missable - such as "That's like putting your wedding tackle in a Lions mouth and flicking his love spuds with a wet towel". Red Dwarf takes some getting into. You have to persevere with series 1 and probably 2 before things absolutely take of in series 3-6 which are fabulous. 4 is the best one available at the moment but 5 and 6 will be must haves.
Series 3 sees the fulltime inclusion of Kryten and from then on in the series takes of.
The DVD's are good quality and have some reasonable extras but these I find of limited value.
Get them - at this price the're a steal.
