Superb Story, 20 April 2011
Well, Nesbo does it again.
Having started out of sequence with the Harry Hole series of novels by reading The Snowman first, I have now read from the beginning (of the English translated versions) and The Redeemer is on a par with The Snowman which says much!
This has a slick, pacey, incredibly creative story line and, without wishing to sound to cliched, did not make me want to put the book down.
The level of description paints a vivid image of the scene as you move through the book without dragging you into pages of unneccesary tedium - Nesbo should win an award simply for his sharp, concise detail and framing.
Great characters and background; you feel like you are living within the Oslo Crime Squad.
This really is a "Must Read" - Superb.
A quick line of Thanks must also be passed to Dan Bartlett for his translation; very nice work!
