This book is bad. You would have more fun trying to have a conversation with a bowl of corn flakes.

The topic of UNCERTAINTY can be approached from many angles and has involved numerous philosophers and yet this author doesn't seem to be capable of taking you closer to any of them. And he certainly doesn't give credit where credit is due. It reads like a bad A-level student philosophy paper.

Pick up a book on David Hume instead. He's a much better writer and tells better jokes.

I bought this book to get my teeth into a tasty philosophical subject, which it is. But this book is sooooo long winded and there's an interesting point to chew over about every 30 pages. The rest is drivel really. A shame because he's written some great stuff elsewhere. Only buy this book if you have nothing else interesting to do.
