5.0 out of 5 stars Very happy with this, 22 Oct 2014

Very happy with this. Mine is used during outdoor archery competitions, and is perfect for it. Very good clearance for sitting down with a quiver attached, and has holes in the feet for pegging down if the wind gets up. Mesh back is amazing as well, as it let's your back breathe, and presents less of a sail to get blown over!

Very highly recommended, just wish I'd bought more for the club!

They're plastic flags, what more do you want?

Held up very nicely in the recent storms, still firmly in the ground (although one has managed to spin around...). Nice and tall as well, so very visible from a distance.

They are a little uncooperative when trying to write a distance on them, but that's more down to my marker than the flag itself.

Arrived clearly broken. Volume far too low after trying on 3 devices, and the car stereo turned up.

Also didn't arrive in any kind of packaging, just loose in an envelope.

1.0 out of 5 stars Constantly asked for Gamecircle login, 20 Sep 2014

This review is from: Wayward Souls (App)
I, like others, cannot play this at all for more than about 10 seconds at a time, as I'm constantly being asked to log in to GameCircle. Tapping "No, I'm not" just takes me to the GameCircle stats, which clearly means I am logged in.

If Noodlecake are going to force you to log in to a system, they could at least make a proper attempt to detect when you are.

4.0 out of 5 stars Outstanding kit, limited app compability though, 5 Dec 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Been waiting for a while for this to come out, and now it's here, it's a permanent member of my kit.

Bluetooth range is exceptional for line-of-sight, and very good for indoor. Audio quality when being used as a headset is good as well, although the noise cancellation could do with some work (according to the wife, who was on the receiving end of a windy call!)

Negatives really are only the app compatibility. Because it's a new piece of hardware, apps are a bit limited, but the range is growing. That, and the small cable on both the bundled earphones and USB cable are a bit of a shame.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good, but battery life is a little short, 5 Dec 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Very nice little FM transmitter, goes very well with my Xperia Z1.

The only things I'd have preferred is a bit better on the battery life, as it just about manages a weeks worth of commuting, which for me is only 15 minutes either direction.
It'd also be nice to have some kind of indication of battery life as well, other than just fine...fine...fine...dead.

Included car-USB charger is brilliant as well, dead handy for if both the transmitter and the phone need charging as well.

Well worth the money, and highly recommended.

Plantronics Audio 480 PC laptop Designer Mobility Headset and microphone

4.0 out of 5 stars .audio 480... Comfortable(ish), clear, easy to use., 16 May 2009
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Plantronics appear to be able to consistently deliver incredibly high quality equipment, for a reasonable price.

Again, they're continuing the tradition with this lovely bit of kit.

The .audio 480s are your "standard" in-earplugs, with the left side having an attached gooseneck microphone, with 3 different size earplugs, and a 4th "Memory Foam" piece. Pick n' mix for your ear size, and how much you want to block out.

Personally, I prefer a combination of the memory foam ones for the left ear (the normal ones have a tendency to droop the microphone if you don't use the plastic braces to keep it in place), and a large one for the right ear. The memory foam plugs block out every last bit of sound, but can feel a bit uncomfortable with prolonged use.

A nice addition to the left ear piece is the inclusion of 3 soft plastic bracers, which gently push against the front left of your ear, stopping the microphone from drooping over time. Only really needed with the soft plastic parts, as the memory foam one just basically will not spin at all.

Overall, it's a nice bit of kit, the supplied USB soundcard works out of the box with Vista, the headset itself is up to the usual Plantronics build quality (ie. excellent). Microphone quality through a normal sound card and through the supplied one is outstanding, the carry case fits all the kit in there nicely (including the USB sound card).

Only downside I can think of is the left side one feeling a little unbalanced at times, and the usual discomfort of having something substantial shoved in your ear for hours at a time. But don't let them get you down, this is a magnificent piece of kit, only narrowly avoiding the 5 stars, as in-earphones are very much a personal preference.

Triton High Quality Headset
Triton High Quality Headset

2.0 out of 5 stars You get what you pay for..., 17 April 2007
"Excellent quality!"

"High build standards"

"Long lasting, durable..."

"A great space saver!"

All reviews that have been published about this headset/microphone combination set.

Only the last one is true. I've been through 3 of these now, and they've all broken in precisely the same place. And each time, Speedlink have refused to cover the obvious fault.

Which place? Which fault?

Just above each of the earpads, there is a single direct hinge, which allows the headset to fold down, like in the pictures. Obviously a lack of foresight on Speedlink's part here, because it is structurally the weakest part of this item. Ironic really, that their strongest selling point, is the weakest part of it.

Also on the top of the list of things to go? The gooseneck microphone "neck". This lost its' holding power after a week, causing it to spring back in the opposite direction.

A shame really, because without those 2 lethal faults, this is a reasonable item, the microphone (so I'm told by my teammates) is crystal clear. The volume on the headphones themselves are nice and loud. And the headset itself is comfortable to wear on the head, or around the neck, which is certainly a positive point. These positives alone save it from the dreaded "1-star rating". Avoid if you're looking for what their published review says, go for something a little more expensive, but cheap enough to replace if they do break. These are a little cheaper, but they break far more readily.

5.0 out of 5 stars Theme Park World- Great Game!!!, 17 Oct 2001
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Words cannot describe how I felt whilst playing this, after having to play the original for donkey's years, the graphics have had possibly one of the most major overhauls, the gameplay is much more realistic, with decisions that you make right from the beginning influencing the rest of the level, like building a roller coaster right at the beginning will attract loads of punters at first, but people will get bored of that ride after a while, so you'll start to lose customers. Also, there are much more variables to be played about with, like ticket price, frequency of how often the cleaners clean the toilets, and others besides them. The AI seems to be much smarter, because the punters actually act like children at the park! There's even a 1st person mode where you can go on your rides and play your sideshows, all to win Gold Tickets, which you can then use to open new parks! The only downside of it is that you don't get to keep the money that you accumulate over time.
