1.0 out of 5 stars David's worst book, 21 Jun. 2016

No matter what your view of his views, David Pawson is usually a brilliant writer. Unlocking the Bible, The Road to Hell, and Come with me through Isaiah, are all excellent books characterised by clarity and precision in prose. You may find his views repugnant but he leaves you in no doubt as to exactly what those views are. This book however is horrendous. It is like a grammar text book. You need an MA in English to decipher what he means, and the arguments are so swamped in a sea of brackets, quotations, references etc. that I actually have no idea what the Normal Christian Birth really entails.

what a complete load of rubbish. how do poets get established as brilliant? if this is anything to go by the answer is by writing unintelligible unconnected lines like this. burns and sorley maclean would be ashamed if tosh like this were also included as great Scottish verse along with their masterpieces

5.0 out of 5 stars Good Buy, 14 Dec. 2015
With constant changes to amplifier design, and headphone jacks being in and out and in and out of fashion, a dedicated headphone amp is a good investment for those of us who have neighbours that don't want to listen to our music at high volume.

I bought this to go with a pair of Grado SR325 headphones and a Unison Simply Two valve amplifier, that had inconvenience built into its design and didn't offer a headphone jack or very much else - except for great sound.

For me the Novo is a huge step up from any amplifier socket I have come across. The soundstage is wide and airy. bass is deep but not boomy, treble is high enough to break crystal glasses, and most importantly - it can be played at low volumes without missing any detail.

I bought the Grado's and the Novo together as a package that was recommended by What HiFi and at a heavily discounted price, and I'm pleased to say it worked out great.

Cannot comment on pairing with other equipment, except to say that I recently changed my amp for a Naim Nait, and the Novo works great with that as well. In hifi terms this is not a bank-breaking product, and probably wont cut it with high end gear, but at my price level it does the job.

This is type of film that Mary Whitehouse would have tried to ban for its lurid sexual themes and content. Sadly Mary no longer exists and this filth does!
