This review is from: The Queen Is Dead (Audio CD)
Before The Smiths Guitar music wasn't in the British music culture anymore, it was all New Romantics and New Wave, then when The Smiths came out it was an explosion, great drumming, bass playing, guitar play and the most funny yet brilliant lyrics you could ever hear, The Queen is Dead proves that, The Guitar play is great. Lyrically Brilliant and more.

Queen is Dead: 5/5 Love this Song it has a great Drum solo at the beggining which lasts about 20 seconds.

Frankly Mr Shankley: 5/5 Lyrically one of the best on the album with one wonderful line "I didn't realise you wrote Poetry, i didn't realise you wrote such bloody awful poetry Mr Shankley"

I Know Its Over: 5/5 Great ballad no more to say.

Never had no one ever: 3/5. Good only 3 -4 sentences in the whole song and it gets repeated

Cememtry Gates: 4/5: Great bassline, great lyrics good song.

Bigmouth Strikes Again: 4.5/5. Good song, I'm not sure about it being a single above There is a light, but the lyrics are great.

Boy With The Thorn in his side: 4.5/5. Love this song, I love the Guitar in it.

Vicar in a tutu: 4/5. I like it because it is so funny.

There is a Light: 5/5. The best ballad they ever did and one of the greatest songs ever.

Some girls are bigger then others: 4/5: Another funny song with good lyrics

5.0 out of 5 stars Unbelievable, 28 July 2006
This review is from: The Bends (Audio CD)
Along with Ok Computer this is the best Radiohead record ever, its hard to pick one from the pick one from the other, radioheads music is so good it stands out more than most of the bands getting more album sales and praise. Like Ok Computer it changed Radiohead many caling them One Hit Wonders diue to the success of there single "Creep" but this silenced the critics making them one of Britians favourite bands of the last 20 years. Songs Like Just,My iron Lung,Fade Out, The Bends and Fake Plastic Trees stand out, and make this album look so brilliant.

5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant, 28 July 2006
This review is from: OK Computer (Audio CD)
Every single best of album list you see, always has this album at the top, and i know why, I only bought it when i saw it won the Channel 4 poll as well as most of the albums I have got now, I think that it is a brilliant record and will always be great, no matter what happens.

My personal favourites include: Lucky, Airbag, No Suprises, Subterrean Homesick alien and Paranoid android. That doesn't mean the rest are just good because that the whole album is brilliant means that those particular songs are amazing and the rest are great. I personally love it and if you like bands like Talking Heads,Coldplay and Muse then buy this album.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Fine Debut, 28 July 2006
This review is from: Parachutes (Audio CD)
The start of Coldplays wonderful career starts with this marvellous debut album, full of classic pop tunes, some people say its boring, some people say its different. i think its wonderful, the best debut since Definitly Maybe, and how many times have you heard that been said before.

"Don't Panic" - A wonderful start not very long but still a fine opening. 4/5

"Shiver" - The first single maybe a bit long but wonderful non the less. 4/5

"Spies" - The darkest song on the album, this song got the album banned by the Chinese Government because of the lyrics I think that it is a wonderful song though. 4.5/5

"Sparks" - A lovely song, another great highlight on the album. 4/5

"Yellow" - The classic on the album, still played live by the band and often described as there best ever single. 5/5

"Trouble" - Another wonderful ballad that always gives me shivers when i hear it. 5/5

"Parachutes" - The slowest song on the album. 3/5

"High Speed" - Good song, a bit like Radiohead, but still great. 4/5

"We Never Change" - quite good, possibly the one song off the album which i don't listen to that much. 3.5/5

"Everything's Not Lost" - Brilliant song that ends the album in style. 5/5

4.0 out of 5 stars Very Underrated, 26 July 2006
This review is from: Magical Mystery Tour (Audio CD)
I can't believe people take the mick out of this because of the movie, its one of my favourite Beatle Records, and it should be because of the classic songs on the album like.

I'am the Walrus, Strawberry Fields Forever,Penny Lane and All You Need Is love.

Other great songs include. Fool on the Hill, Baby you're a Rich Man and The Magical Mystery Tour. The rest are just o.k, but the double a-side of Penny Lane/Strawberry Fields Forever is often cited as the greatest double a-side of all time, and the greatest single of all time, which is some compliment, this is one of the finest records ever, and shoudln't be taken for granted.
