Despite the front cover featuring the TV programme, this is the book and excellent to introduce young people to HE Bates,

The accompanying CD is useful altho the reader doesn't quite get really into the story telling !

This super little product is a great combo of good herbal ingredients designed to he
lp the skin - I've used it on a number of "issues" and its helps all of them, including a nasty little case of actinic keratosis which has been subdued beautifully - and without any repercussions as I would have received from the burning, ski-changing medication from the doc.
Highly recdmmended

5.0 out of 5 stars Artists in Glass, 13 Mar 2013
Angela's book is long overdue for us all and will be incredibly useful in identifying the work of these 3 lamp workers, one being my late father, Istvan Komaromy (Com-arrr-oh-me) whose work has been wrongly attributed for too long. This book - and its trilogy group to come - achieves its objectives in a most interesting manner. A good read! From collaborating with Angela! I know her research is painstakingly undertaken and readers will not only enjoy this book but learn a great deal from it. Highly recommended!

5.0 out of 5 stars VITAL SIGNS - AND A VITAL BOOK FOR WORRIED PEOPLE and PRACTITIONERS ALIKE, 10 April 2011
This is highly recommended and forms the basis of self-protection for anyone concerned about not becoming one of the ever increasing statistics of cancer sufferers - if either never diagnosed or if already having received treatment. The approach is multi-disciplinary and very metabolically based, working with the bodys natural defences rather than trying to overpower them. But its not diffiuclt to understand as the writing style is straight forward and accessible. The explanation of why we get cancer is very clear - one does not just wake up one morning with it - it is a process, often very slow, unbeknown to us and the predisposing or risk factors are well described, with probably quite a number of surprises for most readers. It's straight forward, well presented and thought out and shows that this drug-free approach can really work.
The author is a highly respected chemist who changed direction to study human metabolism using naturopathy, nutrition, herbalism, homeopathy and psychotherapy at advanced therapeutic levels. She is supremely practical in her advice, speaking from the perspective of someone who knows this stuff really works, with all of its many evidenced based gold standard references. But she also knows from the perspective of a practitioner who, through her clinics and support group of CanSurvive Resource Centre, continues to help many people towards their recovery. The resources are excellent and do actually match with the text, which is constantly reminding us to work with a practitioner who knows what they're doing and to validate the healing process by using proper metabolic tests; different ones than our regular doctors use and more cutting edge. This is advanced 21st century advice for cancer prevention and this book will become the future basis for both naturopathic medicine advocates and their patients. It works really well with the second, more advanced book in the proposed series of four books, "Cancer Concerns" which is more in depth for advanced practitioners or those folk who want to heal themselves without drugs or radiation. They are both really excellent.

5.0 out of 5 stars EVERY PRACTITIONER AND CANCER-WORRIED PERSON NEEDS THIS!!!, 10 April 2011
This second book on cancer written by Xandria Williams (following Vital Signs) is an excellent book and highly recommended. It is authoritative yet totally accessible and very practical. Williams has managed to walk that delicate balance between a scientific, intellectual approach required by knowledgeable practitioners and one which is comprehensible and very clear to anyone concerned about becoming and staying well. Although there is enough information, detail and resources in the book for anybody, she nevertheless strongly recommends that patients work alongside a practitioner - who themselves will inevitably learn immensely from reading this!
The various evidence-based, nutritional and naturopathic treatments discussed have gold standard references and represent what should become the future way to treat cancer. Her CAM approach (complementary, alternative and metabolic) really does represent a better way - a very different way of the "war" against cancer - recruiting the body's own defences and working with it instead of relying on external forces to smash the immune system to bits, destroying the very mechanisms within the body designed to defend us from cancer with its dreadful side effects. Nothing in this book will harm us in any way but all the methods outlined nourish the body and allow it to work properly, defending itself and getting back to a healthful balance. It just makes so much sense it makes one wonder why we buy into any other form of treatment! Yet it can also be used within a more regular context too. The steps described are very clear and, brilliantly, are all supported with first class evidence and suggestions regarding testing to ensure that you know the treatments are working.
This is a different type of "alternative" cancer book. What Williams has written about here is cutting edge, yet blends new scientific knowledge with the wisdom of ancient naturopathic philosophy, in an accessible format. In my naturopathic practice, I have many different cancer help books but this one really works and I will definitely suggest all cancer patients read it. I cannot recommend it highly enough.
