This is an amazing book!
The book has several different accounts of people that were captured by the indians, each chapter relates a different story.
What is amazing in this book is that in just one book you have several different stories, from different people, in different time frames, in different tribes...some have been treated kindly and others have been treated with much cruelty, but most of all, the stories are authentic and speak of a time where there are so few true accounts left.
Wish that there were more books like this one. A gem!

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing book!, 19 Sept. 2014
This is one of the best books i have ever read.
I really like native american culture, specially movies, but havent read any book about them. What i think is that it is extremelly hard to find a good story that really resembles the true way of living of native americans written in a way that grabs you, and this book does just that.
Its not a book of fancy happenings, its just a simple book wich depicts the day-to-day life of a native american tribe (the comanches in this case), their way of life, their belifs, their skills, their behaviors.
The story is about a young girl that is kidnapped by comanches, and the way she learnt to live with them, and aggregate their way of living, ultimately becoming a comanche as well.
What i like most about the book is the way the author describes (within the story) a very wide range of skills the native americans had that made them more in tune with the land, and shows us how they knew how to use the resources that were given them by the mother earth.
Very good story and very true to native american living.
5 stars

Its a good book but with some flaws. The author tells the story like a robot. For instance, he goes and talk about concerts and preparations like this...(my words) 26th June we had the concert in the place X, the band wear X, the concert went like so an so and so forth... and he follows to decribe the following concerts the same way. And the smae happens in other different parts of the book.
What i felt in this biography is that the author knew Freddie Mercury very well, and shares many things about him, things that we want to know of course :) but its like a mother or a father talking about the son, they know the son for many years and lived with him for many years, but they dont really really know their son, like a best friend would or like a lover would.
So, in reading this book i leraned many things about Freddie Mercury but i go without knowing how he really was and what were his real thoughts and so on.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great book!, 19 Sept. 2014

The book is great, but not that great!
All the history lesson is wonderful and very enlightening. The book is full of valuable information. The part i didnt like so much was the writing of the author, its very confusing because the author goes back and forth, it doesnt a follow a strait timeline and even speaks more than one time of some things. The book also loses many pages in fights between native americans and whites, where it could focus more on native americans itself and how they lived.
Thats the only flaw of the book for me, the rest is wonderful.

This is an amazing book! This is the real story of a white boy who was kidnapped from his family, and went on to live with the Apache tribe. In the book he describes his life in the 9 years he lived with the native americans. At first he wanted to come back to his white family but soon became accustomed with his new lifestyle. This book is so magnificent because this is not some theory from some historian, or some journalist or some author of books...this is the true story told by his own words. He speaks of his lifestyle, and the life of the tribes with whom he lived, first the Apache and afterwards the Comanche. Great book, wonderful book! For those who want to know the real deal.

Well, i wrote a review on the "Season 1 pack", and i stay by it, really amazing series.
The main reason i dont give the "Season 2 pack" 5 stars as i gave to the "Season 1 pack" is because i feel that in this season 2 the stories are not so elaborated, and the teachings are not so profound.
But still liked it a lot.

This is one of the series of my childhood, i had something like 10 or 15 years old, and i have to say that this might have been my open door to spiritual teachings.
Many years passed and i always remembered this series with great joy and tenderness, so i decided to buy the season one pack.
I have to tell you, i was a little apprehensive...you know, after 20 years you look at those series you liked when you were a kid, and when you see them at an adult age they really seem very bad :) "how did i like this?" :) But this just isnt the case, i saw all the series again with the same amazement as when i was a child, if not more, because now i can understand things that i didnt understand then.
All in all, i love it, i love the "western background", i love the main character, i love the peaceful way in wich the series are made, and what i love most are the teachings of his masters and the teachings of the Grasshopper himself.

5 stars, really great series

Glimpses of a Golden Childhood: The Rebellious Childhood of a Great Enlightened One
Glimpses of a Golden Childhood: The Rebellious Childhood of a Great Enlightened One
by Osho
Edition: Hardcover

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing Book, 6 Mar. 2012
This is an amazing book, in fact it is my second favorite book of all time.
I really like to read books that have true stories like in biographies, because you really are learning with the experiences of other human beings.
This book covers almost all the life of Osho, since he was a little kid, through its adolescence, adulthood and the times he was already a known guru. In the book you can read an amazing diversity of stories about Osho, and his family, and his work...and believe me, if you know Osho, the stories are just hilarious and also with great teachings in them.
One thing that i really like is that the stories are told in the first person, by Osho himself, giving it an emphasys that otherwise maybe it wouldnt have.

I just read this book once, but just by making this review and remembering all those great stories i think i am going to read it again hehe :)

I bought this Tarot deck some years ago, because i wanted to learn more about Tarot reading.
But i have a problem, i can only buy things that appeal to me, and the vast majority of Tarot decks didnt appeal to me at all...i find them somewhat ugly :).
Then i searched and searched and i found this deck. For me its one of the best because the Rider-Waite deck is one of the most well known decks, because its "very easy" to learn with it in the internet since most of the learning tutorials are made for this deck, and if you want to learn from a real teacher normally this is the deck they teach with.
But this isnt the best part :) the best part are the amazing colors of the deck, really really beautiful, really bright, really colorful, amazing energy coming from the cards!
I have to tell you that i dont read Tarot anymore, but sometimes i open the cards just to look at them because they are so beautiful...its a pleasure just looking at them and using them in a reading also.
