Niall makes an interesting and persuasive review of the Thatcher years. If you are looking for a major piece of work then this would be too brief for you but if you want a quick outline of the revolutionary years of the Thatcher period then this is for you

This is the ideal introduction as to why Europe tore itself apart in the tragedy that was the First World War. It is by no means the comprehensive vlume

2.0 out of 5 stars Appropriate title, 28 July 2013

Comedy in any form is hard to do. In the written form it is even more difficult. Sadly this collection of episodes failed at the first hurdle. I read it for the best part of an hour and did not find it even remotely funny and gave up. The idea of describing varied aspects of presumably her life that the author uses has been used far more effectively by many others. The episodes hover between dull and vaguely interesting - is this how youngish women think and behave? Perhaps it is a "man thing" but I found the exit button and used it.Sorry.

Interesting and informative but I found it VERY difficult to hop from chapter to chapter as is my want with History books. Is it me (or my Kindle's) fault?

2.0 out of 5 stars 100+ pages too long, 9 July 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Seemed like a good idea but, with the author indulging herself with endless amounts of over description, reading this book book became an effort rather than a joy. I gave up just under half way through and don't know who 'done' it and sadly I don't care.

2.0 out of 5 stars Not for me, 24 Jun 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Politically biased with a lot of X -rated sex detail, a modest plot plus an ending that leaves plenty of loose ends for the inevitable follow ups. Personally I am fed up with police men with more chips on their shoulders than you would find at the local chippy. not for me

I like reading this guy's writing and this book doesn't fail to raise a few laughs. Towards the end though I had enough as the cheeky chappie began to irritate rather than amuse - a little like revisiting a Norman Wisdom film
