5.0 out of 5 stars Original, very tactical and very interesting concept., 31 May 2014
This review is from: Watch Dogs (Xbox 360) (Video Game)
At first the game takes a long while to get your head round the whole idea of it all, so give it a chance. This is one of those games that the more you play it, the better it gets.

Having the ability to retrieve personal details of each individual civilian roaming the city and hack them out of thin air of their bank account to still their money, makes you feel like the city on this game is at your disposable, it gives you a great sense of power and control. The modern world is a digital one, and you play as Aiden, a genius in hacking electronic devices, and because the world is now very much a digital ine, the world is literally at your finger tips. Very clever concept for a game, and somewhat creepy to. Makes you paranoid about someone hacking you in reality.

This is a sandbox game and I am so sick and tired of these gta fan boys comparing this to GTA so they put this game down, GTA is a sandbox game to but both are completely different. Watch Dog is original, just because its set on a city, doesn't mean its trying to be a gta. It's like comparing Doom to Call of Duty, and excusing COD developers of copying DOOM just because their both first-person shooters, its bloody madness! So ignore the GTA fan boys reviews.
The whole idea is so clever and very fun but best of all its tactical, having to think about how to use the tools to your advantage to get through the level. But having said that, you do have the option to go in each level guns blazing for the inpatient player but the game is far more enjoyable playing it as it should be by using your ability to hack camera's, activate explosive devices est. to stealthily take down enemies.

IGN rated this 8.4 I would say thats about right. This is what you'd expect from Ubisoft, a very tactical and original game. Must have!

5.0 out of 5 stars Jeez! This is a major step up from the first, 15 Mar 2013

Got the game at midnight. Played a few missions and I gotta say its amazing! If you play Sniper Elite v2 on expert mode and enjoyed that, well expert mode on sniper 2 is more challenging and more enjoyable. Just the way I like a sniper game to be, and what a sniper game should be. So much more detail to the environment and surroundings which of course is a very important factor in any sniping game. Nice touches to Sniper 2, when moving whilst looking down the sight on your pistol, it sways from left to right in a realistic way, so you really feel you are moving with your pistol, rather than the pistol just staying in the same position, like its floating on the screen whilst you move. These touches just adds to the experience. I love the bullet kill cam mode, quick and simple and doesn't frustrate you having to see your kill on the cam all the time. When you achieve a head good shot from a distance, the bullet cam gives you a real satisfaction, and the death animations just adds to that.

There is a sniper spotter who guides you through some of the route in a mission, the same way we've seen before on the sniper missions on COD4. But before you start thinking they've copied COD4 exactly, its not quite the same. Its better! Sniper 2 is by far a massive leap from the very disappointing Sniper 1.

5.0 out of 5 stars A nice idea to play the iconic songs with a variety of great artist, 29 Dec 2012

The song 'Reet Petite' sang by Cee Lo Green is a world class performance. Its the best version I've heard of that track. 'Don't Go To Strangers' sang by Amy Winehouse, man can she sing, the only slight disappointment in the track is when a male singer cuts in half way into the track, for me it would be better to hear Amy Winehouse all the way through. 'Get Away Jordan' is my favourite track sang by Ruby Turner, so please Jools produce your next album featuring Ruby Turner in every song!

Good old fashion pure Rock! Must of heard: 'Anastasia' 'Far and Away' 'One Last Thrill' 'Not For Me' 'Apocalyptic Love' 'Carolina' and 'We Will Roam' about hundred times now, and counting.

I've read the reviews on Metacritic and quite frankly their disgraceful, I'm starting to wonder if these critics know what their talking about.

You've got some bloody middle class nerd from the Guardian rating the album. I mean come on! That hardly fair!

A very sturdy bench that feels comfortable to use, and makes you feel confident it can easily handle up to 300kg. Fairly easy to assemble, took me around 20 minutes. The pads stitching of the bench itself is fairly good quality but I got the impression it will wear and tear over time on every day use. Despite the lack of durability of the pads stitching. Its well worth the money for comfort, stability and heavy load of 300kg.

5.0 out of 5 stars One hell of a great smartphone, 2 Jun 2012
First impression: As soon as you switch this phone on you are amazed by the screen quality. Its crystal clear, and I mean crystal!

The more you use it the more you love it. Screen is amazing, processor is ridiculously fast (so no waiting for this and that to load) runs games very smoothly and overall this is by far one of the best smartphones on the market. It wouldn't surprise me if its voted THE best.

I have the white version of this phone and I much prefer it in white. It has a class look to it. The phone is big (which is an ideal size for a smartphone, one that I think Samsung have got right.) Feels nice in the hand thanks to it curved corners, which looks more modern. The back cover itself is a little too flimsy for my liking but does not compromise the overall look of the phone. The metal strip a round the mobile (which I love), this gives the overall impression it is well built.

I can say a lot about this phone but you got pro reviews for that. Samsung are without a doubt well in the competition with this latest smartphone of theirs.

5.0 out of 5 stars A league of its own, 29 May 2012
= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
There hasnt been a game that justifies well enough on what the Ghost's are all about. Ghost Recon one and two were just fun to play. Advanced Warfighter to did not portray well enough on what being a highly skilled Ghost is all about, despite having the opportunity to do that with the next gen consoles.

This however portrays what being a Ghost is all about beautifully. It starts off being a bit unoriginal, what with the slow-mo breach in and the helicopter predictably gets shot down by an RPG. Then the more you progress through the campaign, the more original it becomes then it blossoms in a league of its own. Just the nice little touches with the camera angles (showing one of your team mates covering the back flank) when opening doors and when one of the Ghost's points his gun underneath the garage type door to cover when entering - All these nice little touches just adds to the impression, that the Ghost's are real pros. And to top it off, the level of detail on the scenery on some missions is just amazing, and not to forget about the cool features of mounting the bipod (which I love) from cover and ordering your men to take down selected targets with a drone.

I do agree with IGN about the storyline being unclear, it isnt bad but still you wouldn't care with what the campaign has to offer. Not to mention the campaign is fairly long. In the next title, I do hope the storyline would be more indepth. Then it would be a masterpiece!

This new approach and style of gameplay is a big step forward on this title. A Brilliant Game!

4.0 out of 5 stars Still a great sniper game nevertheless, 7 May 2012

Sniper Elite V2 is an a little iffy at times when you try and be silent as possible. I think enemy snipers seemed to have amazing vision and very quick reflexes and annoyingly when you scout out for them on a crane or near window with your binoculars they only appear when you are within their range, this results in you getting shot unexpectedly. Why you cant see enemy snipers position in your binoculars no matter where you are is beyond me.

Another issue with the game is when being silent, some times you get detected from an enemy operating machine guns for some reason they seem to have far better vision than a sniper does. I also found the X-Ray kill cam to be annoying. The first time it was amazing but now for 100th time I have got bored of it and I think its now just unnecessary to have a X-Ray kill cam nearly in every sniper shot. However I do love the kill cams where the camera is positioned behind the target and you see them falling back without going in X-Ray vision. I would of liked to of seen that kind of kill cam more often.

Despite all this I found the game to be highly enjoyable and it is by far the best sniper game I've played since Sniper Elite version 1. All it needs is a little more tweaks. Personally I think they released the game out too early.

Recommend this game to all sniper fans and recommend you play it on Sniper Elite mode, cos that is kind of the point.

I played Arkham Asylum and that was pretty slick with its overall gameplay. However with Arkham City they went far, far more ambitious with this sequel and have succeeded masterfully. The combat is a lot more slick, graphics are incredibly detailed around the city of Arkham. What I like most in this game are the endless possibilities to take down the enemies without being detected. Its all left to the imagination, and thats the best thing about this game.

You will find all your classic villains in this next sequel and the villains in the game have a lot more serious agendas, making them a lot more of a serious threat to the City and Batman. Its like Rocksteady have really identified the majority of their audience are adults and that shows throughout the game.

Batman: Arkham City is one of those games that you will end up playing over and over again cos the more better you become at getting to grips with the gameplay, the more you enjoy it.
