1.0 out of 5 stars WOULD NOT RECOMMEND TO ANYONE not even my worst enemy, 14 Dec. 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Terrible Experience :(, bought these as thought they'd be decent for just under £15, couldn't have been more wrong, they arrived packaged find no problem with that, but then got them unboxed and started to use, after about 5 min of listening I started to get mini-electric shocks in my ears, now if that's an included feature it certainly ain't advertised and isn't pleasant!

Build quality of the headphones was medium i'd say, but they seem to have a pointless feature where you can remove the ear buts*the black and silver bit from the cable, which servers no purpose at all.

3.0 out of 5 stars Good Concept Yet Lacks Key Features, 19 Aug. 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Originally the Google Chromecast sounded like a brilliant idea, the concept that one device could make any TV with a HDMI connection technically a smart-TV. So after reading on many forums about them I decided to take the plunge and buy one.

What's in the box?
So the chromecast comes in a tightly compacted box that contains the device it's self, a micro USB cable and a USB to UK wall adapter that all fits snugly into the box.

Feature Set
The device at time of writing(Aug 2014) has very limited features and is all dependent on the device that is being casted from, for example I downloaded the app for my Galaxy S5 and it allows me to share screens which I'll admit is pretty useful but after a few hours of mucking around becomes a bit of a gimmick.
So then next there is the apps that are available to be broadcast, like BBC iPlayer:- so watching programs is smooth and good quality with little to know loss of clarity BUT and that's a big but, the BBC limit what you can actually cast to the chromecast, for many users this won't matter as you can watch what you want on a laptop or whatever but this really annoyed me.
Aside from iPlayer I usually watch things on channel 4 and I have to say the limitations of casting with 4oD are dire, when you try to cast it simply gives you an error saying incompatible.

Value for Money
At first glance, £30 quid for this device is not bad but when you dig deeper you quickly realise how limited the stick is and what other products are on the market for cheaper. For example you can pick up a raspberry pi for <£30 and set that up with all sorts then you have a fully fledged media center for cheaper than a chromecast.

Final Verdict:
If you really want one for screen casting it's an OK device, if you can get it for <£15 go for it, unfortunately the modding community on XDA has died a little so there's not much hope of 'rooting' the cast but if you want a device to watch iPlayer on your TV for fairly cheap this is good for you/
