5.0 out of 5 stars a mini-masterpiece, 20 Oct. 2013
This review is from: Enter 4 (Audio CD)
Couldn't disagree with the previous review more. It bites and caresses, attacks and comforts all at the same time. The male voice is deep and smooth, married with a beautiful soulful female companion who criss-cross the album with exchanges of broken love and shared hurt. Some tracks pop and skip with the rattle of drums that feel like that of Atoms of Peace. Other tracks boom and swell to crashing crescendos. There is not one weak track and it is an album you can truly get lost in.

4.0 out of 5 stars another great example of the current scottish music scene, 8 Nov. 2011
I think the 1st review of this album is harsh! These four walls was a great debut, original, with a great sound that oozed energy and that continues on In the Pit of the Stomach. The guitars have beefed up in places leaning towards a heavier sound but without loosing the rhythm and drive I expect from WWPJP. The song solid and inventive writing remains a constant and promises to involve and enthrall.

In summary if you liked the debut your gonna like this. The same can be said for any fans of catchy riffs, emotive songwriting and thick Scottish accents.

3.0 out of 5 stars JUST BUY BLACK AND WHITE TOWN, 22 Feb. 2005
This review is from: Some Cities (Audio CD)
Well talk about using one good single to sell and album. I heard black and white town and straight away couldnt wait for the album, now i wish i hadnt bothered. None of the other songs on the album have the strength and quality of B+W town. Ive listened to it a few times now and it doesnt even compare to last broadcast, and i hate so say it but maybe it should have been theire last broadcast.
