5.0 out of 5 stars An amazing comeback!!, 26 May 2010
This review is from: Black Gives Way To Blue (Audio CD)
This album is an absolute triumph! The grinding heaviness is still there, accompanied by some beautifully soaring moments such as the title track. Jerry Cantrell's incredible lyrics, Sean Kinney's pounding drums and the forceful bass of Mike Inez are perfectly in unison with the vocal stylings of new singer William DuVall. I was sceptical about the decision to carry on with a new singer .... without reason as it happens. This album stands equal with 'Dirt' for me as thier best work. William DuVall as lead singer may turn out to be as good a decision as Brian Johnson filling the shoes of the great Bon Scott. This album deserves to be right up there with 'Back In Black' or Black Sabbath's 'Heaven And Hell' as one of the greatest musical comeback albums ever ....

1.0 out of 5 stars Lord Of The Rip-Offs ..... What A Discrace!!!, 8 April 2010
I remember when the DVD versions of Lord Of The Rings were released, I was so much looking forward to seeing them Little did I know that the bean counters at New Line already had the extended cuts in the pipeline. These cinematic versions on Blu Ray are a total rip off, and the fact they persist in these underhand tactics for a second time shows the total contempt in which they hold the paying public. People who ask why it matters are missing the point! If the greedy movie companies really wanted to give us 'choice' they would release these versions on the same date. At least we could all buy according to our taste.
As if they don't make enough money, they have to flog the dead horse of DVD/Blu Ray 'double dipping'. Shame on you New Line!!

1.0 out of 5 stars Rip Off - Support The Band!, 1 Jun. 2008
This review is from: The Best Of Radiohead (Audio CD)
The band do not authorise this release - the label are cashing in. If you have the albums why bother? If you don't, shame on you for not buying them!

5.0 out of 5 stars Bruce and Eric go out with a BANG!!!!, 30 Sept. 2005
I'll keep this short and sweet.
It's the heaviest kiss album by a mile and shows that the boys don't need seven inch leather heels and make up to turn heads and kick ass. Go buy it immediately if you've had enough of wailing wimps like Coldplay. Pure kiss. Pure class. Say no more.
