A very informative history, 29 Oct 2013
As a current member of the Corps it has been most interesting to read of its illustrious history. The book follows the development of the unit from a volunteer unit in 1803 through to the current day officers' training corps. Contains a variety of photographs and much information, of which I was unaware, of the nature of militia and volunteer units in the 19th century in addition to a thorough account of the Corps' service in the Boer War.
Although a very niche interest the insight gained into the University as a whole as well as the establishment of the antecedents of the Army Reserves would be enlightening for many.
