4.0 out of 5 stars You get a lot for your money!, 12 May 2013

This book is a blockbuster of the devious ways of the unelected bureaucrats who run Brussels and the EU, and of their sham illusion of democracy via the so-called "Parliament". It carries on where Martea Andresson leaves off. It is, effectively, in two parts - Ch.1,2 and the first part of 3 are the early days and the contoversy with UKIP. You can skip this to get to the real meat. It does tend to be repetitive and would benefit from all Press Releases being put into a separate Appendix. It's a massive tome so numbering the pages would be useful for reference purposes. The proof reading falls down as there are numerous, annoying typos and spelling errors ((e.g. "civil service" for "civil servants" and "put" instead of "out"). There are some grammatical errors such as a group have "our" views rather than "its" views but this does not detract from the overall impact of how our lives are controlled by disdainful ex-politicos and full-time bureaucrats with little understanding of, or care for, the real world
I regularly visited Brussels and Strasbourg in my role as pushing the cause for the self-employed and small businesses (which make up over 95% of ALL EU businesses and I became dismayed how many earstwhile people went "native" as soon as their snouts hit the trough!
This book takes the lid off the ant-hill that is now in control of our lives.
Read it and either cry or throw something - preferably at a politician who got us into this mess.

3.0 out of 5 stars "Oyle give it three"!, 18 Dec 2012
This film gives a good impression of what medieaval warfare was like. I enjoyed it & liked the twist whereby Marion became Robin's wife when her father-in-law asked Robin to take over as his son. Shame that that made it that Marion wasn't a Ward of King Richard any more though.
What jarred was the ending. Magna Carta just wasn't like that and how do you equate with the all singing - all dancing Flynn/Rathbone/de Haviland Technicolor version which burst onto the screen like a breath of fresh air after drab WW2?
If Richard "cops it" early on and the legend "begins" at the end how on earth can Richard return against usurping Prince John like what we Brits have been brought up on?????
Marlene may have "given it five" but it's only three for me. Take the "rubbish" out and then I'll rate it five.

3.0 out of 5 stars Read the book - it's better!, 28 Nov 2012
I made the mistake?? of reading the book so waited with expectation & high hopes when the film appeared.
What a disappointment. Too slow, too many flashbacks, and very bitty. OK if you like that sort of thing but it didn't have the pace of the book. I give it three stars for the scenery!

Sorry mixed up 1 & 2. These should be reversed! Part 2 of the trilogy. She's still an adolescent teenager, deadly with a bow & arrow, who can't make up her mind between the two male loves of her life though; a shame that they had to kill off "Tarzan" at the end. He deserved better.

Forget using the keyboard - if you are going to fly then this is a Must Have!
It loads easily and the back-up support from the company is superb (I had some problems the first time which they immediately rectified after a lengthy discussion. Don't let this put you off though.) Mine was a one-off problem unlikely to be repeated.
Go and buy it.

This is the third of a trilogy which was really two books but stretched to a third because there really wasn't a suitable place to split it in part 2. I nearly didn't get through Part 1 because of some daft names ("Watership Down" never got beyond the first few pages because of it) but it's a good read, as was Part 2 but it's never fully explained what the Capitol did to the Mentor to make him take to the bottle. Their holds over some of the others is better explained.
There is far too much when the "heroine" is either crying or under sedation so she comes over as a goddess Diana type, depressive, adolescent teenager who is a dealy huntress.

This is an instruction manual for all wannabee pilots. I had the older version which went AWOL when an older pc gave up the ghost so I bought this one. The graphics are better, the range is wider, the tutorials are great. Superb! I once travelled in the Jump Seat so it was handy to know what was going on in the cockpit and converse intelligently with the flight-deck crew.
My young grandson (who wants to be a pilot) uses it whenever he comes to visit.

Even with the current Bond Bourne is much more plausible. I saw the French version on TV and was hooked. I just had to buy the trilogy to find out what came before and the satisfying conclusion.
