Result Aqua Shell Hi Tech Team Coach Waterproof, Breathable and Windproof Jacket Mens
Offered by Outdoor Look
Price: £34.03

3.0 out of 5 stars Not bad, but not great, 12 Mar 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Its an ok jacket, and it does keep out the wind and rain as advertised. So why only 3 stars? well firstly the hood, there is not a zip pocket in the collar by which you can roll and store the hood, only a zip to remove the hood completely, this is not great for a jacket at this price. I have also found that the front zip is very often caught in the inner lining, and the zips are poor quality, so my front zip no longer has the zip handle.

the jacket fabric itself is actually very good, its just ruined by such a poor design

2.0 out of 5 stars too big a bug, 19 Nov 2013

This game would be good if not for the bug which means you can't explore your Forrest hideout regardless of the amount of gold or discovery maps you have. Really not worth downloading this one until they produce a patch and fix this.

4.0 out of 5 stars Very nice, once its free to be itself, 25 Mar 2013

So the Kindle fire? shall i buy this, or the ipad or the nexus or the sony?

Well, that really depends on why you want it and what you want it for. Try and keep this one specific.

The screen is really a nice size, I normally use it at home so its ideal (some may prefer the smaller screen for ease of travel, but to be honest its not that big, and well worth it once you have the TV, Netflix etc installed. Glare when used outside is not great, they claim its much reduced, but its still difficult to use, dont think it would be so much use on the beach on holiday. though if you think you can buy a kindle fire and a kindle paper white and still have change from the cost of an i-Pad then it's something you can live with to be fair.

Sound is not bad at all, no distortion (especially if you lay it flat on a table, and its even louder if you do)

Battery life - so far i would say around 9 and a half hours or so from a full charge (dont bother with the power charger if you already have a mains to USB plug that works fine) if you do this its not so long to charge, USB takes all day and more (seriously, 14 hours or so)

Interface - well here is a downfall, its quite easy to use but the carousel thingy is ugly and just plain annoying, very little control over it either (well by default) It really is annoying though. Also having it locked to the Amazon store is more than a little annoying, its not the way android is supposed to work. There are ways if you look online to get the play store without rooting it, and you can sideload apps too. though rooting is the way forward, lots of instructions on how all over the internet, then you can use it the way it was supposed to be used, and get shot of that pesky carousel.

Accessories, would advise you buy a case for it and a screen protector, but DO NOT buy them from amazon, Much cheaper and higher quality from e-bay, case, protector and stylus around £6 delivered, and better quality (well I am nothing if not honest, Amazon)

It really is a nice tablet though, and to be fair it destroys the wife's i-Pad in terms of hardware really does. Software well, if you are willing to free it from amazons walled garden, then again it will destroy the i-Pad, if you are not willing to root then they are about level pegging though there are more (and better) apps available via the i-Store than the amazon store,

Is the fire 8.9 worth the price tag? - I would say yes, yes it most certainly is, nice size, light weight, good sound, nice easy to use tablet, its even better once you have it running chrome though.

(note, if Amazon would only allow access to the play store and control over that horrible carousel, then this would have been a 5 star review) For the price, a very good buy indeed.

5.0 out of 5 stars just the job, 26 Dec 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Delivered before I knew it really. From the box its not difficult to put together (clip on wheels/handle/detergent dial etc) some you have to give a little whack to clip in, but its not difficult)

Mine did have the mains chord holder missing (but its not really worth complaining (mains chord is easier to wrap around handle anyway)

not used the rotary brush (big yellow one) yet. The circular action jet is brilliant for doing walls and things (if its a light covering then job done) if there is still some gunk left then move on to the mixer/power jet. On max this thing has some power, can turn it down to wash the car and things. also you can turn to "mix" and let some of the detergent do its job.

Its quick and easy to put away in the shed when done, ready to go for next time. really is a nice little unit. I cant think of any downsides to this unit really - does exactly what it says on the tin.

At a push, trying to find a negative, I guess I could say "I'm glad I don't have a water meter" - but then show me a water pressure washer that does not use water.

I needed a valve to fit 1 1/4 inch pipe, that just works.

This is a valve that fits 1 1/4 inch pipe and it just works.

Not much else to say really.

Canon PIXMA MP280 All-In-One Colour Photo Printer (Print, Copy and Scan)

4.0 out of 5 stars Great all in one for the price, 17 Oct 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
really is. I really wanted the scanner more than the printer, but its always handy to print things once in a while. The setup was simple and easy (you dont get a USB lead), but I had one from the Hewlett packard it replaced, which after 5 years service, would no longer print or feed paper. So NO USB LEAD, remember that if you are a first time printer buyer, other than that, the software is easy to install and easy to use too. The scanner is great, the print copies are great. I can not comment as yet as to how long printer cartridge life is, though the cartridges do seem expensive (which wont be so bad if they last a while) In all its a really nice machine, does a great job.

Really is only the no USB lead, and the cartridge cost (Though i have stated that may be relitive) that prevented this getting 5 stars. its nice.

I think its really quiet too (but so was concorde compared to my old Hewlett Packard, so take that comment as you find it)

other wise, the only thing that would prevent me recommending in the future is if the cartridge life is not as good as I am hoping for)

Did not expect much, but to be fair this little mower is pretty good. Nothing much to go wrong with its metal blade, it hovers well enough, the grass collection bit is maybe its only downfall, but its not really a problem, just run the mower over the bit you cut and it missed and it sorts it. handy machine for a small lawn, I can see it being hard work for a large one, but if you only have a small lawn then its a great bit of kit, does exactly what it says on the tim

3.0 out of 5 stars OK, but not fantastic, 1 Jun 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I bought one of these as I thought I would try it out. Now those 4 LED's do kick out some light, and Its not a bad light at all. I would have rated it higher had I not bought the GEM 2.0 rear at the same time.

I like to have a steady and a flashing rear light all the time. This was going to be the steady.

Its not bad, and it works. The light removes from the strap with a clip that wont dislodge over rough terrain, but to be honest its easier and faster just to remove the strap anyway. Its not as bright or as good as the Moon GEM 2.0.

Like I say it seems this light (which I repeat, would have been reviewed far higher if not for its sister light) is ok.

For info, my bike now has 2 GEM 2.0's on the back. It's not that this is a bad light, its not, Just its sister is much better. Would really consider spending your hard earned on the GEM 2.0 rear light (its red leds even though the pics on amazon are misleading, the ones sold as front ones are white)

I don't know how to put it other than that for you ladies out there, but for the blokes I would say the GEM 3.0 is like being with Dannii Minogue.

5.0 out of 5 stars Its the best seeing light ever, 1 Jun 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Bike lights do two things, they are for seeing and for being seen. (I know Bazil fawlty, stating the bleeding obvious)

This is a seeing light, it is fantastically bright. I have 2 of the moon gem 2.0 lights on the front, and two of those on the rear. the Gem 2's are great "being seen lights, they can cut the seeing thing too, so long as you have street lighting. If not then this light is your hero. Its not much bigger than the moon gem 2.0 but its bright. It really is. you can dip it quite simply with just a button click, which is nice, especially when you come off the unlit cycle track onto a road. This is good as if you don't it will dazzle the motorists, causing them to flash you (really it is that bright). If its a well lit road then you can click the button again for a (dipped) being seen flashing or strobe light.

Fitted and removed from your bike in approx 0.4 seconds, does exactly what it says on the tin, its a really awesome bit of kit. The light is water proof and it will not move or slip no matter where you go, ride over a ploughed field if you like. It has fine angle adjust to move to where suits you, and it just stays there.

OK perhaps you can get brighter on the market, if you are a very serious cyclist, who wants to spend big money, but if you want a light that does exactly what you want it to, when you want it do it, and you don't want to break the bank, then I can only ask, why are you still looking? YOU JUST FOUND IT.

5.0 out of 5 stars Small, but dont be deceived, 25 May 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Moon GEM 2.0 Front Light (Sports)
When I unpacked my lights (I bought 2 front, 1 rear of this type, and a Moon Gem 3 rear light too) I laughed at them due to the size. I know a lot of people have commented on this above, but it is not until you receive them you realise just how small they are.

So I thought, what's this going to do?, any way switched a front one on that was facing me (ooops) following walking around the house blind for 20 mins fitted them to the bike. Fitting took almost 20 seconds for all 4 lights. I waited until 11pm then went out on an unlit cycle track. Fantastic is the only word to describe them, they really are that good. Also i realised that charging could be a problem, then I noticed in front of me on my desk I had a 4 port powered USB hub. This works fine with all 4 of them at once, regardless of the PC connection or not. So i guess if you have the lights and a powered usb hub, you can travel anywhere with your bike.

These things really are a fantastic product and I can not recommend them highly enough.
