5.0 out of 5 stars THE Gadget for Bluetooth Connectivity!, 14 Aug 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Arrived (hand delivered on 13th)! Amazon delivery people need to learn how to post a small package through the letter box - hence, 1-day delay in delivery! Amazon Please Note: There is a training issue on this matter - please ask your delivery people to see if the 'small package' CAN go through the wide-letterbox. At least try and don't send me an e-mail that says, words to the affect 'you were not in and we shall deliver tomorrow'. Not acceptable and wast of my time!

However, ...

As for the product, in a word: Excellent! As expected from a Sony product. Connected without any problem (can not understand the issues people are having on the product feedback and getting a lower star rating!). I have used this over 24 hours and tested all the connectivity modes - excellent!

Right price!

Sound and call reception very good, far better than expected, particular with my iPad and viewing/listing to film and music. Will continue to 'test' and report any issues through updated review/feedback on the product sales pages.

5.0 out of 5 stars Quality Costs - THE adapter for Canon L-lenses for Sony A7R camera body!, 3 Aug 2014
It is said that 'For quality, you must pay a premium price'. This is certainly true for Metabones EF - E Mount Mk IV Smart adapter. Originally, I had ordered the Mk III, but got the UK re-seller to supply me the Mk IV (which had just arrived in UK) - very fortunate.

Yes, this product is expensive, but 'it does exactly as it says on the tin!'. With buying the Sony A7R body, replacing my L-series Canon (plus one wide angle Carl Zeiss) glass (which has cost me 'an arm and a leg'), was not an option. A7R is bought to supplement my Canon 1Ds Mk III, but specifically to produce 'medium format' quality and high resolution images for Landscape and Macro projects.

The adapter has been tested with all the lens I use for the above projects - and I am more than satisfied with its compatibility, performance and connectivity. In deed, I had tried couple of years ago with a 'cheap i.e. ~£150' adapter to use my old but quality OM prime lens on the Canon - utter waste of money, with a major concern of damaging the lens mount on the host camera which could have been a costly experiment. Lesson learnt!

I would highly recommend this, and other Metabones adapter (I have also bought an OM - E Mount adapter!), for those who wish to upgrade to an awesome A7R and but continue using equally awesome Canon L-series Lenses - there iate no other options. Metabones adapter ensures the build quality and materials used in construction is identical to that of the OEMs: Sony camera and Canon lenses. Additionally, regarding the electronic connectivity, I have not experienced any problem - AF and records the EXIF data as per the original lens. May be, I have been very lucky on this, having read other Mk III reviews!

I assure you, this adapter would have been returned PDQ to the supplier with full refund demanded, if I had any problem or issues with any of my Canon (and Zeiss) lenses! (On this point, see the lens compatibility and limitations listing on Metabones website for this adapter.)

Do not waste your time and money on cheap and ill manufactured and fitting adapters - just go directly to Metabones! Life is too short, as we should be spending time practicing our photography! :-)

1.0 out of 5 stars Cheap looking & over priced - keep your money in your current wallet!, 3 Aug 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
We live and learn, and sometimes at cost!

A total wast of £59 for this product - but, this product LOOKS and FEELS CHEAP (a £10 wallet bought in a market!). For example, card tab stitch seams visible on the outer surface of the wallet. Yes it is slim - only if you do not put anything in the wallet. My 'slim-down' wallet content for a day-out: 1 debit, 1 credit, driving licence and 3 £20 notes and looks no different to my Ted Baker wallet (@ less than £25!). Indeed, it stays 'open' like a Crocodile's mouth. It needs re-design, e.g. with a Velcro fold-over tab to fasten or tuck-in?

Please do not believe the seller's product description - all hype. Look for other makes and save money!

Not a happy regular Amazon customer!!!

Very little to add to other who have given 5-Stars! Well worth the purchase at a fraction of the cost compared to RRS or other suppliers for Sony A7R and A6000. Excellent value for money. If you use Arca-Swiss system for the tripod, this L-Plate unit fits perfectly.

Look for other Third-party remotes, such as that sold by UKHP Remote Timer. Very highly priced for a product that costs very few Dollars to manufacture. Not recommended!

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent value for money Timer Remote., 29 July 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
For £30 (with Amazon free post and arrived within a couple of days!) this remote cable for my Sony A7R functions like a dream (including Sony A6000). I use it primarily for long exposure photography - very intuitive for its operation and accurate timing.

Only one minor point - UKHP should offer L-connector Sony Multimedia MicroUSB (left and right face connector). An L-connector is highly desirable, as I use an FITTEST Quick Release L-Plate on the A7R! I would like to appeal to UKHP to include L-connectors (MicroUSB to L-MicroUSB via a 6" cable would be ideal!) as part of the kit, even if the price is increased by £5 or £10!

Still .... This product is highly recommended and excellent value for money. Buy it!

5.0 out of 5 stars Don't look at other SD/CF cases - this is it!, 29 July 2014

Excellent SD/CF card case! Highly recommended and only case to consider! All my cards fit snugly and the case is very small in size - ideal, for the photographer on the go. If you have 3 x 16 or 32 Gb cards - ideal capacity for a day shoot, 1 in camera and 2 in the spares case.

2.0 out of 5 stars Poor product design, that as excellent functionalities., 28 July 2014
Sony products are always well designed with good functionalities. Overall, it is a good product as per specification and various operational options - radio, messaging and music via MicroUSB. The reason for dropping 2 of the 5 star are: could be a little cheaper (but I should have shopped around) and secondly the 'silver' cap is very loose and ill fitting (keeps detaching with slightest knock, and I have only had this product for a week!). Very disappointed with this product, there are other products on the market that are better designed and made! As a 'Sony Man' with many many Sony products - sorry, but I would not recommend this product.

5.0 out of 5 stars Anti-reflective screen with a Pop-up shade - ideal partners!, 27 July 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
An essential piece of equipment that every digital camera owner must use for the monitor. As opposed to other products in the range - an anti-reflective film is required for better viewing. Apologies in advance for mentioning another product in this review, but in conjunction with Delkin's Pop-up Shade works like a dream for reviewing images on the monitor, particularly in outdoor situations. Note: Ensure you attach the anti-reflective screen BEFORE the pop-up shade - this makes removing or replacing easier.

5.0 out of 5 stars Exceptional Creative Botanical Image Making!, 27 July 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I am a botanical photographer of at least 10 year in this genre, but with over 30 years in general photography. May thanks to Karin, for producing this excellent book - exceptional creative flower photography accompanied by equally thought provoking words. I am so glad that technical information is removed thus focussing on only the art of photography. I shall certainly recommend this book to my student who would like to advance from 'standard' flower photography and would like to put a little bit of them selves into the creation of an image.
