1.0 out of 5 stars Heap of junk, 6 Nov. 2012
I've got two of these. They are suitable only as a 'distress purchase', but for nothing else: to be bought at a petrol station when you have run out of fuel. Otherwise they are barely fit for purpose, threads on spout and pourer are very poorly cut: the spouts leak and drop petrol. In summmary, these cans are of very poor quality and hardly worth the ~£5 paid

4.0 out of 5 stars did what it said, 30 July 2012

Does what it says it does, worked well on the clutch hydraulics of my 1967 Sprite: maybe could do with slightly longer tube and transparent reservoir for some applications, but no complaints, suited me perfectly. :)

5.0 out of 5 stars Good book, but unacceptable print quality, 13 May 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I would not buy this book from Amazon. The first copy they delivered had a number of blank / missing pages, and the subsequent replacement had exactly the same problem.

Amazon have obviously got their stock from a faulty print run.

I have meanwhile borrowed a copy, and confirm that this is a good book, for all the reasons given by the other reviewers.

I intend to buy it, but from another source, where I can see / touch / feel what I am getting.

1.0 out of 5 stars Good lit' crit', but not history., 31 Oct. 2011
This is an extensive and scholarly work of literary criticism. Within those limits it is a good general guide to the British literature of WW1, and its influence on later writings. However it is seriously compromised by a simplistic and ill-informed view of WW1 history, and a preoccupation (bordering on obsession)with irony, social class and homo-eroticism. In its polemic, the book perpetuates the worst historical errors and myths about WW1 that it identifies, and more. This is not a history book, and should not be treated as such.

Walking the Limestone Way
Walking the Limestone Way

1.0 out of 5 stars Useless as a guide, 7 Jan. 2011

Read it at home, maybe in bed or by the fireside, and leave it there!
Nice prose and some pretty drawings, but utterly useless as a practical guide, a waste of rucksack space.
A good read, but no more than that, as other reviewers have already explained.
