The family saga continues. The son proves to be much like his mother - much to her own great annoyance.

Great Characters & Great story. This has the makings of a really good series of books. Worth a good look.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great holiday read., 18 Aug. 2013

I ordered the trilogy to read on holiday and was not disappointed. Sometimes the second book in a trilogy can be the weakest of the three. Not so in this case. The story is as strong as the other two and adds to the character development of the two main heros of the story. Buy it!

I read this on the back of Jack Hight's Saladin Trilogy and I was not disappointed. Reads like an action thriller from start to finish and although you know the history, part of you wants it not to happen. Totally gripped from start to finish.

Gilman has me hooked. Reminds me of Cornwell's Harlequin series but I loved the way the story evolved and can't wait for the next in the series.

I believed that the events and conversations described could really have happened as they used contemporary reports of the actual events and Tim Kent has cleverly woven a believable story around the facts.
