It's been many years since I have read a John Saul novel. I really enjoyed "The Devil's Labyrinth". It is a well written, sinister tale that fans of John Saul will love.

This is a very funny, very irreverent send up of "The Sound of Music. If you are easily offended and lacking a sense of humour this book is NOT for you.

I like C. Dennis Moore's books, particularly the "Angel Hill" series. "Terrible Thrills" is a collection of Moore's short stories, some of which are very short indeed. They are very, very good though, and the collection overall is a nice easy read. Would recommend to anyone who likes horror.

I really enjoyed this book. The tension increased page by page, and there were plenty of spooky moments. A real page turner.

Not as gripping as "The Third Floor", but still had enough creepy moments to keep me reading. Really like this author.

5.0 out of 5 stars Jonny: My Autobiography, 23 Dec. 2013

This is one of the best autobiographies I have read this year. Jonny Wilkinson talks frankly about his career as a fly half and how he strived to be the best, the sacrifices he made and the self doubt that plagues him. He is a self confessed perfectionist. This book is a must for rugby fans, especially fans of the England rugby team.

"Gallasill: The True Story of Gallows Hill" is a wonderfully eerie tale. It has it all; a centuries old murder and hanging, a family curse and family secrets. It is a fast paced, tense read that was hard to put down. I look forward to reading more by Martyn Taylor.

This is the funniest book I have read in ages. Just reading the cast of characters had me snorting with laughter; Sir Elton on the John, Sir Paul McStrawberry Fields Forever, Sir Michael that Can't Get No Satisfaction and Sir Cliff that was Wired For Sound. This is a darkly hilarious, madcap tale, and I loved every page of it.

A very enjoyable, fast paced read, well written and with central characters I cared about. Loved Harley the dog. Just think it's a pity this is a novella. Would like to have learned more about Crispin's stepfather and his family.

Although advertised as a kindle single, "Wilderness" is really an introduction to Koontz's new novel "Innocence". In general, it is a good story, but not enough is learnt about the main character, Attison. The story ends rather abruptly, which is probably the idea; reel the reader in then keep him hanging in the hopes he will buy the novel. Good ploy, maybe I'll bite.
