4.0 out of 5 stars Quiet but a real hassle to install, 13 July 2011
A really good quality well made product.
Downside is fitting it - allow half a day as its a real fiddle and took two of us (one a teenager who builds computers as a hobby)
Quiet but not silent

5.0 out of 5 stars Good Product, 13 July 2011
I wanted this for an address book and although it costs a bit more, its worth the extra - good quality paper, lots of pages and plastic covering on the letter tabs

Pirates Activity Book
Pirates Activity Book
by Melinda Long
Edition: Paperback
Price: £4.99

1.0 out of 5 stars Well Illustrated but Hopeless as an Activity Book, 6 July 2011
This review is from: Pirates Activity Book (Paperback)
OK the illustrations are great, but, the activities are really poor, and there aren't many of them:

How to make a basic hat from folded newspaper
How to make a cardboard eye patch
How to make a treasure chest - decorate a shoebox, but no suggestions other than cover with coloured paper and draw on it
Several pages that are virtually blank for you to draw your own picture
A very basic maze suitable for four year olds
A couple of word games more suited to eight year olds (who is this book for?)
A naff song but no indication of a suitable tune
A very very basic page on pirate speak, again suited to four year olds
A game of snap - re-named Cannonball
A few stickers

And that's it! I didn't see a single original idea in this book.

It's a waste of money - If you like good illustrations, then get a good illustrated pirate story, and if you want an activity book, then get one with some worthwhile activities in it and a few more pages

Really well written and enjoyable book with lots of humorous touches. Fairies are alive and well in Devon! I loved it
