3.0 out of 5 stars forget alien, 16 Oct. 2012
This review is from: Prometheus [DVD] [2012] (DVD)
im a big fan of the alien movies and was expecting something at least slightly similar
but no, theres nothing of the previous here apart from the odd visual reference
for those in the know and some ridiculous musical attempt to recreate the sound of
the 'scanner' at one point.
as a stand alone sci-fi 2 hour movie it's below average despite the budget and scale of the thing.
as part of the Alien saga its best forgotten.
what a waste of money!

4.0 out of 5 stars good value, 30 Aug. 2012

mickey mouse watches with moving mickey arms for pointers are hard to come by. i own a vintage model and wanted a 'spare'.
this watch is pretty big - man sized, which is bang on trend. its exactly as the image, but the face is a shade darker than
would be perfect to contrast with the watch arms and numerals (a white face would have been ideal.)other than that minor criticism the watch is great.
good length leather strap.
At 25 quid you cant go wrong in my view, but it is a 25 quid watch and wouldnt pass for anything else.

3.0 out of 5 stars a good game spoiled by bugs, 25 Jun. 2012

my pc suffered with the many bugs listed in the reviews here and on the forums elsewhere. i updated all drivers and flashed my mobo bios, but i still get random pc crashes and choppy video/cutscenes.
when the game runs its beatifully drawn with great sounds and a decent storyline with some pretty clever extra puzzles, so despite all the probs im still playing it!

3.0 out of 5 stars not for me, thanks, 19 April 2012

well, despite the other reviews i need to give this two thumbs down. reminded me of a poor mix of rainbow six/mass effect, blending the worst of those two series rather than the best. i found it to be too frustrating to enjoy on a casual basis and could not grasp the hacking of pcs and locks etc at all, especially at level 3.Hud direction arrows and info baffled me inventory was way to cluttered, limited ammo to find and carry. picked up all sorts of cards and papers and chips and read numerous pc screens, but this all left me stone cold as did the plot.

5.0 out of 5 stars great game, 29 Nov. 2009
= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Fallout 3 (PC) (Video Game)
i played this on my 2.5g dual core, 4g ram and nvidia 8600gt pc. Really good game, i usually
only play fps and so this was a bit of a departure for me. good varied missions/tasks to complete and some
gruesome and tough enemies to beat. I like the xp levelling up skills you can aquire, like 'mysterious stranger' where during a shoot-out you may get help from a visitor who appears from nowhere brandashing a magnum. Also liked the
more advanced weapons such as the 'shishkebab' and the 'gattling laser'.
i would defo advise to do some side quests before following main quest as otherwise you'll miss loads of the map and levelling opportunities and shorten the game. Also get to learn all the key commands early on as there can be lots of switching between weapons, items, map screens etc often when under fire. Ending is a bit of a let down.
Overall, would recommend and am now about to start on the expansion pack.
