I brought this game in 2004 and i found it good fun up to the point were you have to fight Tanya. i Got stuck on this part for a month and decided to leave the Konquest alone.
In 2006 i got bored and decided to have a another go at the game. i made a new profile and started over again. This time when i played it i managed to remember one of the first lessons you get taught in the game (how to dodge). So when i played against Tanya i kept moving out of her way and grappling her, because I knew from the previous time i played the game that when she starts doing moves she will take away about half your life before stopping.
After defeating Tanya and learning from Sindel i went back to the Nexus were i thought the game was over. In the Nexus you meet Scorpian again but this time he is alot harder to defeat. After deafeating him is were the disapointing part happens. (sorry if i ruin it for thoose thinking of buying it) The draagon kig comes out i reveals that he has been decepting Shojinko (hence the title) and he has been tricked into giving all the power to him so he can rule over the worlds.
on the other hand it is overal a good game to play. Doing little missions for people in Konquest. Learning how to fight with the different characters and then using that knowledge to defeat your friend in the Vs battles and in arcade mode. Also in the game there are things that you don't expect in fighting games. There is puzzle Kombat which is alot like Tetrace but you have Super Moves that help you in winning it. There is also Chess Kombat. In Chess Kombat you can set traps And Cast spells and when you want to take a square that someone else is on you have to fight for it so you dont always get to go were you want.
So overal i think that it is a realy good game to have in your collection.
