Lampooning famous figures and mind-buggering pop culture with any kind of warmth and originality isn't easy but full forelock tug to author David Stubbs for somehow pulling it off. Off-kilter and charming, it's like a cutaway of the last 50 years examined through the steamed-up monocle of the bamboozled royal. From chiming in suggestions to Motown Records to (bizarrely touching) missives to the surrogate mother figure of Corrie's Emily Bishop, these pages had me cackling. Great find as it's as funny as they come, beautifully crafted and savagely funny. Great find.
