Kingfisher Wild Bird Deluxe Lantern Seed Feeder
Kingfisher Wild Bird Deluxe Lantern Seed Feeder
Offered by Ram Online
Price: £9.95

4.0 out of 5 stars Good Feeder, but flawed, 18 April 2016
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
The birds like it (actually getting bullfinches feeding from it, and they normally just feed from the ground), it's appealing to the eye, and if the top section was another 1-2cms wider in circumference it would be perfect. As it stands, when it rains the seeds will become mush in the tray below. I've attached a circle of tinfoil above to give it some extra cover which works, but looks a bit crap!

All in all though nice little feeder, shame it rains so much in England!

The Crippled God: The Malazan Book of the Fallen 10
The Crippled God: The Malazan Book of the Fallen 10
by Steven Erikson
Edition: Paperback
Price: £10.68

5.0 out of 5 stars One of the Great Fantasy Novels, 28 Mar. 2015
Fantasy at its best. *no spoilers*

Having grown accustomed to the Erikson's brutal world steeped in magic and betrayal, the violence no longer shocks as much, but when characters you've grown to love are thrown into the fray one final time, its hard to put the book down and not get swept away in sweeping battles, in rivers of blood, in betrayals and lost loves. The essence of fantasy is to immerse the reader in a world greater than their own, to make the mundane fade and dragons and magic and brotherhood take its place; no matter what your age.

Erikson is a master of characterisation, add that to a fleshed out barbaric world of Gods and Warrens and this series is up their with the greats.

3.0 out of 5 stars Must...Turn...The...Page..., 28 Jan. 2015
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I've struggled. Struggled to turn the pages. And its struggled. Struggled to set the fire in my loins that most of the other books (barring 8) have done.

Is it a good book? Possibly, but it's a tad boring. Like 8. Too many characters you don't care about. Why focus on say 40 disparate characters who mostly die instead of the characters that make the series (like Quick Ben and Fiddler), who get barely a whole chapter between them (again). I enjoyed perhaps one fifth of the book. The rest was a real chore. Hope by the Errant's hairy ballsack book 10 makes up for it!

4.0 out of 5 stars I am Cable, hear me roar!, 28 Jan. 2015
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
It's a cable. It is long and... it's a cable. Does exactly what it says on the non existent tin.

I like it. It may even be my favourite cable to date. So long and thin and never utters a word of complaint.

I would have given it 5 stars but... it's a cable.

3.0 out of 5 stars This is not the tea you're looking for..., 28 Jan. 2015
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
They have quadrupled the price (was 2.25 now 9.56), and changed the packaging of the teabags (now thinner sachets); the latter of which in terms of waste you would 'think' is good. But to me the tea doesn't taste (or smell) as strong as it used to. I used to steep them for 3 mins and they tasted gooooood. Now I steep for 5 mins and give them a good ole mash, and the flavour they used to have just isn't there. I haven't noticed this with any other brand of pukka teas, just this one. Shame, used to love this tea.

Worth an average rating, still not a bad tea, just lacks a bit of the old depth. Think I'll try the japanese Yamamotoyama teas for a bit.

Little Miracles Organic Green Tea Energy Drink 330 ml (Pack of 6)

4.0 out of 5 stars A sweet, but flavoursome green tea, 21 Jan. 2015
A light, slightly sweet, but flavoursome and refreshing drink. I enjoyed it. Reminded me of many a random green tea picked up in stores around Asia.

4.0 out of 5 stars A Meandering Epic..., 28 Oct. 2014
Whilst not the strongest book in the series, there are still moments of greatness in this novel. The moments of convergence for instance, which lie at the heart of all great deeds in the series, are fantasy at its best, when the plot picks up pace into blistering action, when slaughter abounds in a complex mix of betrayals and power plays, before grief and the glimmers of hope sink into all that has been witnessed.

Excellent conclusion to the novel, but much of the novel meandered slowly between countless plots and characters. My disappointment with this was that there was simply too much going on, and the novel became confused at times (or at least I did), because the instant I would sink my teeth into one plot line and series of characters it would change to another.

3.0 out of 5 stars Small but alarmingly loud..., 4 Sept. 2014
Aesthetically, the clock looks great. Does exactly what it says on the tin.

The only downside for me is the alarm sound itself. It's rather loud and piercing, like being awoken by a screaming banshee trying to implode your brain.

So if you don't need the alarm feature then great. If you do, well, there's no volume control so you'll definitely be awake. In all likelihood, in a semi-startled state with a pounding heart and a feeling of impending doom; or maybe that's just the thought of going to work.

The Horde [DVD] (2009)
The Horde [DVD] (2009)
Dvd ~ Claude Perron
Offered by A ENTERTAINMENT
Price: £3.34

3.0 out of 5 stars Violently succulent, schoolboy's plot, 19 Feb. 2013
This review is from: The Horde [DVD] (2009) (DVD)
Poor plot, good violence, average script.

Alright if you're with a couple of the lads and want to see things die; probably whilst consuming multiple cans of strong low-quality alcohol.

Merely average if you're a film whore like me and have seen most of what the genre has to offer. I'm a big horror/zombie/apocalypse style of film fan, and love my world cinema, but this script could have been written by anyone with half a brain. Therefore, average. I switched it off after an hour. That's not to say it was a really bad film, it's not, but I'd rather waste my time on better quality.

Or maybe I'm asking for too much, asking for a zombie apocalypse movie to have a plot that makes sense? Other than: the worlds fine, o hold on, no, I was wrong, its full of zombies after all, now die bitches!

Samsung RV511 15.6 inch Laptop (Intel Core i3-380M Processor, 2.53GHz, 6GB RAM, 640GB HD, DVDSMDL, WLAN, BT, Webcam, Windows 7 Home Premium) - Black/Silver

4.0 out of 5 stars Solid, Reliable, Aesthetic Laptop, 21 Nov. 2012
I've had this laptop for about 18 months now.

Pro's
In terms of performance it's an extremely good laptop for the price, able to multitask for fairly cpu and memory intensive programs and fast to boot.
Sleek design and solid keyboard (no loose or wobbly keys as you see with some of the cheaper laptops).
It doesn't date like other laptop models and the design is very appealing.

Con's
Battery life maximum is 3 hours, even with settings lowered.
Dvd ejector is a little wobbly when it's out. But no big shakes.

Overall, great laptop for everyday multitasking with an average battery life.
