This book was made for you. More than just another 'How To' guide. If you take the message and wisdom to heart, then your future is set in a rich and rewarding way. Of course, you will have to work diligently on your craft and get ahead. But if you love what you do, then that's easy.

David's work is exceptional. Here is a man who can craft a few hundred words into some of the funniest and most poignant stories I have read in a long time. Don't read any more reviews - this one says it all. Just go and buy the book.

Tomorrow's Lawyers: An Introduction to Your Future

5.0 out of 5 stars A must read book for lawyers, 11 Feb 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I love this book. Whilst, on the one hand, it may seem light on detail, on the other it provides a number of very worthwhile and helpful signposts on where the legal profession is headed. It is one of those books that every lawyer - young and old - should read before they attend any more meetings where the topic of change/innovation is raised. Of course, there will be those who are not for turning but the book makes no apologies for the fact that the profession has to change or face the risk of being changed. All law students would do well to read it before they decide on where they want to spend the rest of their working days. It's not that the book tries to push people away from choosing law as a profession, but rather how they can add more in value than simply what, over their lifetime, they might bill out. Well done Mr Susskind.

I loved this book. It is one of those books that you need to read slowly, carefully and let the words sink in. It merges the beautiful, wise philosophy of Zen Buddhism with the every day to bring together a practical, and wonderfully written text. What more can I say. It would make for a wise investment.

Julian.

A brilliant collection of poems. I so enjoyed the stream of consciousness that it evoked in me. It's one of those books that you will come back to again and again.

WOW I love this book. It makes the case probably better than any other book out there for the importance of being the most remarkable version of you. If you get this far in your review of the reviews, then my advice is don't waste any more time reading the reviews just go and buy the book. It is bang up to date with the social media explosion, and shows you how to make the most of your time in using the available platforms. Well done.

I have to thank Ali for a really great book (thank you Ali..). If you know nothing about this industry or even if you have published one or two books, you will take something (a lot in fact) out of this book. It takes you from start to finish and makes it easy to understand what is involved in publishing your own E-book. It is focused on those with PCs (me) but does have a chapter for Mac users. I would thoroughly recommend that you buy it. It is not for Dummies - far from it.

I was looking for a manifesto that would focus my writing - not so much a kick up the *** but more a way of directing my efforts. Although quite short (which is never a bad thing), this ebook was really helpful in reassuring me that I was on the right path. It also has some very helpful reminders about good writing, grammar and the need to find your voice. It was worth every penny.

Don't just read this book, do something.

A cold shower. Far too easy.

Letting go. Possibly.

Or what about something life changing?

Pushing past the fear is super hard. In today's straightened times, no one wants to speak out; no wants to be different. Conformity rules, OK.

But it's not OK. It's not you. And it doesn't have to be that way.

I flinch all the time. We all do but this book will help you realise what it means, that it is controllable and most of all it will inspire you - not in Positive Self-talk mode (yuk..) to have a go at breaking through your fears.

If all you do is read it, then you are missing the point. The point is to act.

And do something that will define more of you.

Some of the best bits (for me at least):

"You can't settle for reaching other people's limits. You have to reach yours."

"You need more scars. You need to live."

"Breaking your programming requires a single moment of strength."

"Those who face the flinch make a difference. The rest do not."

Do not settle for mediocrity.

It is your life.

My message to you: if you want to become the most of anything, start facing down the flinch, kick ass and live a better life.

Great book.

Thanks Julien.

Heather Townsend tells you how to network with confidence. This is a must read for anyone who is struggling to understand the overlap between face-to-face and on-line networking. It is a How To Guide, and provides some practical ideas how to get the most of your time in an area that is often badly done. You need to be prepared to go out an try the ideas that Heather talks about it, and not just sit back and say "I know that". It is a very welcome edition to the networking genre.
