5.0 out of 5 stars Absolutely Brilliant, 20 April 2013

Easily the best book I have read on modern war. Sat down to read it on a Sunday afternoon & didn't put it down untill it was finished. I have read many other books from soldiers serving in Afghanistan, Iraq etc and have to say that Sniper One really does set the benchmark.

Paul Oakenfold: The Authorised Biography
Paul Oakenfold: The Authorised Biography
by Richard Norris
Edition: Hardcover

4.0 out of 5 stars For the serious fan, 20 April 2013

A good read if you are, as many people are, obsessed with Oakenfold and his music. It does not follow the conventional styles of most biographys and can be a little dry at points however anyone with interest in the dance music scene will appreciate it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent book, an inside not seen before, 20 April 2013

I read the book without having read any of TSF articles from the guardian beforehand & was blown away by just how open TSF was. Whilst the identity of TSF now appears to be open knowledge, all be it not confirmed, there are still a lot of stories from within the book that may make you think again. A must read for any UK football fan.

5.0 out of 5 stars An insight to a subject rarely discussed, 20 April 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
The subject of Muhammad and Islam is constantly avoided in the Western world as the majority of people either have little knowledge, or do not wish to offend others. As Spencer mentions in his reasons for writing the book, we live in a world where free speech is encouraged and Islam should be allowed to be criticised in the same way anything else in the western world is.

A very well written book, providing structured arguments without being overpowering in the sense you are being told what what to think.

A must for anyone wishing to expand their knowledge of an almost taboo subject.
