Imagine if Suicide and Alien Sex Fiend crashed into a van full of techno-heads in a darkened underpass.
Let Duncan X and Dead Lee take you on the mothra of all bad trips via the mainline that flows from your ears straight into your aching head...
"say goodbye to king and country, say goodbye to uncle sam- say goodbye to mother nature- say hello to Uberman" so begins your initiation- pounding, headache inducing drumbeats churning keyboards and a veritable blocked kitchen sink are thrown in- and the chaos that ensues works just fine!
underrated beyond a joke Sheep On Drugs still sound as acidic and arch as they did back in 1993- "force fed on parent failure whilst pop stars have fast cars- and drink champagne!"
you need Greatest Hits....

utter perfection.
a nightmare of seething and twitching noises await your senses- you need to absorb the whole thing as late at night as you possibly can.

4.0 out of 5 stars The Songs That Changed Your Life......?, 21 May 2012
This review is from: The Smiths [7" Vinyl] (Vinyl)
Surely everything that could have possibly been written explaining about the career of The Smiths has penned hasn't it?
So, in short, one of the most important bands from 1980's. If you want a nice cheap best of, there are dozens to choose from.
If you want a beautifully packaged boxed set of C.D. singles, complete with thier original sleeve art and accompanying b-sides, (which is a bit of a pain to upload if you're not used to the process of recording off vinyl, but an utter joy if you are longing for the nostalgia of those first releases in a more durable format)then, like me, you need to own this.
My only gripe is they missed off the last seven singles...curses!

5.0 out of 5 stars restate your assumptions, 21 May 2012
This review is from: PI [DVD] [1999] (DVD)
Pi is the first feature length film from director Darren Aronofsky, he of Black Swan fame. If you thought Black Swan was 'a bit weird' i would give this a miss.
If, however, you like provocative and thoughtful 'sci-fi' then this suspense filled opus will definitely have you gasping for air. If you're reading this and you haven't seen it yet i wont ruin it by giving to much away. It concerns a mathematical genius called Max, whose brilliant and deductive mind has steered him towards finding out about the very essence of life itself...with the aid of a home made Uber-computer.
It twists and turns and throws theories at you that are as hard hitting and furiously paced as the films soundtrack, which, incidentally features some of the great music (Aphex Twin, Autechre and Massive Attack.
In short, it's a modern day Eraserhead....enjoy!
