4.0 out of 5 stars Excellent, 31 Mar. 2016
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I lost the first one I bought so have just come back and bought another two. Excellent little device, smaller than I was expecting, easy to use and the beep can go from quiet to quite loud.
Only problem is that the tempo can't be changed just by pressing the Up and Down buttons, you have to go into the settings menu first and adjust tempo there, which is a bit of a faff but not a problem; it's very simple.

2.0 out of 5 stars Where's the rest of it?, 2 Mar. 2016
This review is from: The Program [DVD] [2016] (DVD)
The story of Lance's successive victories is told very well but all the drama - how the drug use was discovered and how, bit by bit, the truth was revealed and Lance's world came crashing down - is basically missing. The whole of the downfall story that was played out over years is handled in a few uninteresting minutes.
Two absolutely key figures in the story, Greg Lemond and the US Postal team masseuse, are also missing.
Maybe the film makers were scared off by legal implications of telling the whole story but it feels like they've only made half of the film.
The documentary film version is much better.

The Owl Service - The Complete Series [DVD] [1969]
The Owl Service - The Complete Series [DVD] [1969]
Dvd ~ Gillian Hills
Price: £9.99

5.0 out of 5 stars Complex and pacey, brilliantly acted, 28 Oct. 2015
Spooky, intriguing, pacey, intelligent, brilliantly acted and with a complex story. It's aged very well and the plot is so dense (for a children's programme) that it deserves a second watching.
Well recommended for a winter afternoon.

2.0 out of 5 stars The best of old poetry, 28 Oct. 2015

Not the best of poetry as such, more 'the best of poetry that is out of copyright and cheap to reproduce'. Don't expect to see very much other than traditional rhyming verse.

3.0 out of 5 stars Good for 1976, but hasn't aged well., 28 Oct. 2015
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Good and spooky premise with some interesting casting and good sets & production values.
The problem is 1) this show is very hyped up, expectations are greater than it's aging frame can carry 2) overall the plot development is very slow and the tension is built so slowly and in such small amounts that it just never becomes tense, or spooky. It never really delivers.
The same show compressed into one fewer episodes to make it a bit more pacey might have given a better end product.

Nowhere near as tense, unnerving or well acted as the Owl Service.

4.0 out of 5 stars Very good for the money, seems solid., 3 Oct. 2015
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Easy to use on the go, just one big on/off button, no silly menus etc. Its easy to adjust settings via the software (has to be plugged into computer to change any settings).
In my experience the battery lasts 2hrs 45 from a full charge on high def 30fps, then dies without warning .
Very robust slimline camera so is good for my road bike. The Contour mounts are rock solid but pretty expensive for lumps of cast plastic.
The guide laser stopped working after a week and seems to have died but its not necessary really.
Works well, cheap but could do with more bettery life.

1.0 out of 5 stars Sweet goo., 3 Oct. 2015
Sorry Stealth... I tried these and only got through half one sachet, i squirted the rest into a hedge and brought the wrapper home.
The flavour is fine but the texture is - for me - awful. On the wrapping it says 'can be consumed without water'. Ha, you try it! I think it's got the texture (not taste) of runny marmite and coats the inside of your mouth with goo. Getting it off your mouth and down your throat isn't a pleasant task.
I'm sure some people will love it, but not me.

2.0 out of 5 stars VERY buggy, 3 Aug. 2015
I downloaded this about 48 hours after it was released. The installation process was OK but that's about it.

There had already been one major patch by then. Why do Microsoft take the risk - with our computers & data - of releasing products before they are anywhere near ready? Aaaaaaargh! why did I download it?!!
I'm just a routine home user but so far nearly everything I've tried has failed.
Firstly the new browser 'Edge' is incredibly slow, it won't let me type Web email (yahoo). It takes ages to load or scroll through Web pages (think 'dial-up') and it randomly opens new tabs and gets stuck on them.
I use a fairly new high-power Toshiba laptop and had no problems with it until now. Since loading Win10 the touch pad doesn' t work properly and I can't improve it with any of the device settings, so now have to use a wired mouse.

Worst of all is that now, when I turn on my laptop and it attempts to connect to the internet, Win10 makes my broadband modem crash, wiping out the Internet for the whole house - none of the phones or tablets or the TV (or the computer for that matter) can connect to the Internet and the modem's red light come on until I turn off Win10 and then everything else in the house starts working again. The massive problem with this is that the computer is now 'stuck' - if it won't connect to the Internet I can't download any fixes or patches because it makes the modem crash at start-up so can't connect to the internet! THANKS MICROSOFT! Presumably I now have to take my laptop in to a repair centre who may be able to reverse it back to the previous OS, at my expense.

My opinion is don't touch it for a few weeks until they've done what they should have done in the first place and made sure it works properly.

UPDATE--
So Win10 managed to get back onto the internet via the modem, but after discovering further issues, including incompatibilities with the paypal security process (meaning that I could log in but couldn't buy anything), I've reverted to Win7. I'll try it again when MSoft have sorted out the problems!!!

100 Taboo Erotic Stories A Massive Collection of Taboo Erotic Stories for Adults

1.0 out of 5 stars Awful, 23 Feb. 2015

This is either badly translated or just very badly written. There's no atmosphere, no build up, no erotica, no porn, the sex is just described in 'what went where' detail. Its somewhere between embarrassing and funny, but certainly not 'sexy'.

I dont know where all the 5 star reviews came from but im willing to guess...
