Gideon's Angel

Edition: Paperback
Price: £7.99

5.0 out of 5 stars Great start of the series!, 27 Mar. 2013
This review is from: Gideon's Angel (Paperback)
Placed in the period around the end of English Civil War, this historical fantasy is set around Richard Treadwell, an Englishman living in exile in France. As is it customary in these times, Richard dreams about coming back to the island and soon enough sneaks back to England with a plan to kill Cromwell. However, it's important to mention that Gideon's Angel is not your standard alternate history fare. Clifford knows his history and the atmosphere presented is so impeccable that even the magical elements feel like they could be real.

It would be great if this was only the first part of the series as I would definitely love to read more adventures set in this setting.
