5.0 out of 5 stars Seem like good boots for younger players, 12 Oct. 2015

These are a bit larger than you might expect, but you need it with football boots, once you've stuffed the socks, shin guards and everything into them. I bought them for my daughter, who is delighted with them, and doesn't have to keep asking the coach to do up her laces. Would recommend.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Book About Everyone, For Everyone, 6 July 2012

This review is from: Where Children Sleep (Hardcover)
I was given this book as a gift and keep coming back to it. As do my children, 3 and 5, and adult friends. The children in this book are aged 4-17 and the pictures are presented in age order. The children live all over the world in all sorts of circumstances and, although we never see anyone else in the photos, we discover about their families and in many cases their employers, with whom they live. Some children are living in desperate circumstances, some are very comfortable but you can't read this book and make easy judgements. Really thought-provoking without having an obvious or simple message.

4.0 out of 5 stars Very much a book for children, 7 Jun. 2011

My soon-to-be three daughter, who is under pressure to lose her dummy, loves this book and has started quoting it. I think the narrative is incoherent but then I'm not the target audience. The illustrations are sweet, though.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great book but don't get your hopes up, 5 Aug. 2010

This is a fantastic book and both my children (2 and 4) love it. The story is told in simple words that are easy to understand and illustrations that are rich in detail without being overcomplicated. However, if you're looking for something to persuade a toddler to eat vegetables, you are probably overestimating the power of literature and underestimating the strength of a pre-schooler's will.
