Who Was Hurricane Higgins?
Who Was Hurricane Higgins?

3.0 out of 5 stars Lots of typos, 15 Dec 2011
Overall, not a bad read - quite a bit of rehashed stuff. Attention to detail is poor - Hendry is referred to as 'English' - Joe Swail is spelled 'Swale', and there's numerous other typos throughout. Higgins would not be pleased.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best book on ads you'll ever buy., 16 Sep 2011
This review is from: Creative Mischief: 1 (Paperback)
As a student, we spent one night a week for about six weeks listening to Dave Trott speak at his agency, Walsh, Trott, Chick, Smith (as it was then). He'd crit our work and then just talk for hours about advertising - giving advice, telling stories and generally being inspirational. Lots of people in various agencies give their time to students, but I don't reckon anyone has done more than Dave Trott. And even if you don't give a toss about ads, there's loads of fascinating stuff in here. As Ian Dury said, 'there ain't half been some clever bastards', and Dave Trott's one of them.

3.0 out of 5 stars bad spelling, 21 Feb 2010
Hard to believe that in an educational book you would have a heading that says 'discription'. Total shocker.

My Shit Life So Far

5.0 out of 5 stars Frankie says, 6 Nov 2009
This review is from: My Shit Life So Far (Hardcover)
If you like Frankie, you'll like this - revealing enough to be interesting, but not detailed enough to be boring. You'll rip through it in a few hours and there's a laugh on every other page. Half way through Jack Dee's book now and there are quite a few parallels - the drink - the hatred of almost everyone - the fact they're comedians etc etc
