Sharp TUTV502H Freeview STB Digital TV Recorder

1.0 out of 5 stars Unreliable rubbish, 13 Jan 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
After three years of constantly freezing it finally gave up the ghost just before Christmas. Sadly we had several hours of unwatched programmes on the hard drive which are impossible to retrieve. I would never buy another Sharp product after this experience.

Not the greatest quality, but you get what you pay for. They certainly do the job and represent good value for the price.

I was a bit dubious but thought I would try them anyway. Very pleased with the results; they do suppress appetite and make reducing calories easier. Would recommend them.

1.0 out of 5 stars Looks great - shame it doesn't work, 24 Sep 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
The first one packed up after a week - the only way it could be switched off was by taking the batteries out, which is not ideal. It was returned and replaced, and this time worked great .... for about three months when the same thing happened again. There is clearly a fault with the switching mechanism, so I won't be buying another and strongly advise anyone else not to bother.

2.0 out of 5 stars The funniest bits are the ones they made up, 23 May 2010
This is quite a funny book in places, but the best bits are the ones they made up. There are numerous inaccuracies - places, names and dates - and an obsession with tracking down racism which the authors appear disappointed not to have found. The thing I found most revealing was that the authors readily admit they were met with politeness, kindness and generosity but in return wrote a snide and often inaccurate report. I think that reflects more on the authors than it does on their subjects. Save your money and borrow it from the library.
