I am usually a fiction only person, but this is a fantastically gripping read. Highly recommended.
Truly inspirational story; beautifully written and told.

5.0 out of 5 stars Gorgeous and inspirational book, 30 Aug 2012

Beautiful hardbook for browsing, and hunting for inspiration.
Enough detail in the text to allow you to understand the technique and materials used, and give some insight to the artist featured.
Varied and interesting artist selection.

3.0 out of 5 stars Good looking but not as practical as hoped, 30 Aug 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Mouse and keyboard look good & are designed to do just that. Print quality on some of the keyboard buttons is not great, and in places a bit blurry; also looks like it will probably wear off quickly.
Main issue is with the mouse - not a very ergonomic shape, am afraid I gave up on it after 2 days & reverted to standard black mouse, as started to get a painful thumb. Otherwise movement of mouse and sensitivity no problems at all.

No issues whatsoever with the dongle connection - using keyboard on solid wood desk with laptop on floor under desk and haven't had any connectivity issues.
You plug it in, and it just works - perfect.

Overall like the product, but will shop around for a better mouse as am an occasional RSI sufferer, and this is really designed with aesthetics in mind.
Great price.

1.0 out of 5 stars Do not be tempted to buy in kindle format, 20 Aug 2012
I bought this kindle edition well ahead of my trip - Thankfully I had time to return it and buy in paperback instead.
The kindle edition is useless unless you have a constant internet connection - instead of giving phone numbers and web addresses it simply says 'click here' for almost every entry.
There are virtually no bookmarks, so every time you click on a map to look at the entry in question you then have to scroll through the whole book to go back to the page you started at.
No use either for planning a trip in advance or checking things on the go, despite the obvious advantage of being much easier to pack and carry.
Another significant disadvantage is the quality of the maps - set at such low resolution that the text is unreadable in many places.
The pages are not beautifully laid out or presented nicely, so even without the issues listed above, not a pleasurable read.

Without a complete makeover the kindle edition is of no use whatsoever; and at the same price as the paperback, not good value for money either.
