5.0 out of 5 stars time ticks away ... but DSOTM is timeless, 19 Sep 2007
So good I can imagine SACD machines being bought just to play this disc! But real fans will always have the vinyl record handy for those special moment.

= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
Whether you're 8 or 80, your brain needs to be excercised and this little baby does just that - it works, its fun and you only need to use it 5 mins a day to feel way better. Go for it!

5.0 out of 5 stars Just go and buy this one, 19 Sep 2007
= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
Don't bother reading reviews on this one or its brothers. They're all good ... spend 10 mins a day and your brain will get a good toning up and you'll feel better for it. Great to compete with the kids too. If it wasn't for this type of game I wouldn't have bought the kids a Nintendo!

5.0 out of 5 stars Good with kids, doesn't bite adults either!, 19 Sep 2007
= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
Both kids have had one of these things for almost a year and despite the abuse they have dished out, these DS Lite machine things just keep on going. When you buy the games try and get the quieter ones as the sound tracks get on the nerves but there is a volume control, or you can throw out the kids and tell 'em to get some fresh air instead of lounging around inside wasting their time peering at little screens. Footballs better for them , but try and stop them wanting one now that all kids are born with mobile phones and Nintendoes permanently glues to their grubby mits. Best games are the brain training ones, these are genuinely worthy for kids and adults alike and do partially offset some of the pain.

4.0 out of 5 stars No problems whatsoever, 19 Sep 2007
The MS Office 2007 HSE package containing Word, Excel and Powerpoint is a good value buy at around 90 pounds and with a license to load onto three machines. Whilst I would not consider it a must have upgrade from the 1997 version, it is certainly worth shelling out for if you need an office type suite. The visuals are attractive and new menu is far easier to drive then the old one - some of the more obscure commands are definitely easier to find. Frequent users of the old style interface no doubt will argue against the changes, but for most people in a direct comparison the 2007 version is just plain better. And it works without any hitches whatsoever.

3.0 out of 5 stars words but no photographs, 27 Mar 2007
This review is from: Tao TE Ching (Paperback)
Please be aware that this paperback version is the text only and does not include any of Jane English's beautiful black and white photographs. It is only 107 pages and not 144 as stated on Amazon. Its a nice pocket size travel companion but unfortunately it's not all that I was expecting. I wish I didn't have to be so negative about such an influencial and enlightening text, however the description of this edition of the book is not complete on Amazon and I wish other potential buyers to be aware before they buy.

Classic FM - Christmas Carols

5.0 out of 5 stars Traditional with a capital T., 20 Dec 2006
No one looking for traditional British carols will be disappointed with this recording. Cambridge produces good choirs that produce the best renditions of carols possible. There's a real christmas feel about this collection from Trinity college. The recording quality lacks some airiness, but is good nevertheless.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great Value TV, 30 Nov 2006
This is a good value product. The picture through HDMI is vibrant, but blacks are only dark grey - to be expected at this price for an LCD. Its energy efficient as all LCDs. It is being used in a bright conservatory with no probs, the picture is backlit well enough to make viewing easy. It also works well with Samsung's equally good value DVD players such as the HD-860 allowing the use of only one remote - a real boon. The sound from the TV is dull but I am a dyed in the wool audioholic so it may be acceptable for the less critical. Looks are fine too - also check out the all white one that Samsung have just produced - but be careful as that one does not have a freeview tuner. Costco do a good deal on these w/ 3 years warranty!
