This e-book is everything I could hope for (well, almost). I'm interested in exercising for health, fitness and weight-loss rather than for competition. This book has helped me design my own training program and get the maximum benefit from my heart rate monitor. Before reading this book, I had no idea about how to exercise safely without overreaching, or how to exercise to maximize weight loss. It should be read by everyone, especially school sports teachers who are in a position where they can pass this knowledge on to the next generation.
The only criticism I have is that there is no bibliography, so I can't tell how accurate their information is. I trust that it's based on the latest scientific research, but there's no way to be sure without researching all their claims one by one. From my preliminary research of scientific papers, what they claim seems to stack up, but I don't have the time for an exhaustive study. I'm putting a lot of trust in their backgrounds, with one of them being an exercise scientist and sports coach and the other being a professor of exercise physiology and independent consultant (including to the International Olympic Committee).
As always, caveat emptor!!
