This is a fun game.
Just thought i'd get that out of the way before I start.
The main character exists within a city where you can run about to your hearts content climbing buildings and not really bother with the story after you've unlocked a few powers. So if you wish you can just go on a power rampage. For that alone I've given it four stars as not many super hero games exist that actually give you the option of killing (most Marvel/DC games are neutered that way).
That being said I should point out a few negative things that many of the other reviews have glossed over.
1) The side missions are really boring. To gather XP to unlock power upgrades and free an area of gangs you have to do missions that tend to be one of a handful of types so can get repetitive.
2) The enemy are annoying as hell. Seemingly every rooftop is full of the same gun happy enemy who attack you with sniper accuracy from miles away. The only way to truly thin them out is to do the boring side missions.
3) The sewer missions make the side missions seem action packed. At many points during the game you have to venture into sewers to get the power back on in an area. Positive side of this is you usually end up with a new power but essentially these sections are a dull and dark platform game.
4) To many guns not enough hand to hand. Most if not all enemies are armed with AK47's or similar so regardless how much you may want to go in and show some kung-fu skills you inevitably end up hiding behind a chimney trying to pick off bad guys with spark shots as bullets rattle past your head.
Even with all these problems it is still a really fun game and well worth a play.
